A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was eld on the above date. The. meeting was called to order at the hour of :30 P.M. with Mayor Tarpley in the chair.. Councilman: John Allen, heslie i+:lerrifield, Fred Stokes and I~Iayor ley answer roll call, Councilman ?^L P. Smith absent. Thereupon the clerk read the minutes of the October 27th meeting and e being no errors or ommissions were approved as read.- ' Calendar Tdo. 11 ~) This being the time and place for the public hearing on the proposed i~lrezoning of lots 17 and 19 Block 47 removing said lots from a "Rl°' zone 'and placing same in a +`Ct/ zone as advertised, the Mayor asked if any one ~ipresent wanted to speak on the matter. The Clerk reported having received tw bids from the Johnson Tractor Co. and from the Braman-Dickerson Co. Inc. as follouvs: .Johnson Tractor Co. Caterpillar No. 212 single drive - ~5,151.25, Tandam Drive - X5,893.25, Dozer attachment - X553.25 extra. Scarifier - X367.25 extra. Trade=in on old City Tractor X650.00. Braman-Dickerson Co. Motor Grader {„8,372.10, Dozer X437.00 Extra. ?Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Allen second by Councilman Stok that the accepting or rejecting of the bids be tabled for one week which motion upon vote vvas carried. Mx. Thomas Yarborough being present reported to the City Council tha they were nosrr ready for the installing of rest rooms and sevrer connectio. at the .Elsinore Progressive League Park, the Council having promised to do this when they were ready. WWhereupon it vJas moved by Councilman Allen second by Councilman Stok that Councilman P.?errifield Park Commissioner be authorized to have rest rooms built and sewer connections made at said Park. ~'~Thich motion was carried by the following vote. Councilman A11en Yes " " Pwerrifield Yes DToes None " Stokes Yes Mayor Tarpley Yes Absent Gne Mr. Frankel of the Elsinore Social and Culture Club was called on and he explained to the Council and those present that their Clubhouse was to be for the use of all organizations of the City and that the Plumbing and Electrical fixtures were installed and had been inspected by M.r. Pfeyers Building Inspector. P~Qr. Meyers at this tune told the Council that he had inspected said plumbing and electrical vairing and found it perfect. 4'Thereupon it c+~as moved by Councilman Stokes second by Councilman Allen that the Council accept the recommendation of the Building Inspec as to the plumbing and wiring of the Elsinore Social and Culture Club. ,'Pinch motion was carried by the following vote. Harmon ItSaintenance Superintendent reported to the Council that lthe :resent charge for installing water meters was not enough to take ~~care of the material and labor. alas instructed to report back at tree next meeting as to.what additional charge should be made. ~. ~:ii Thereupon the Clerk read resolution T1o. 4g5~ a resolution raising ~~;the salry of the P:.Saintenance Superintendent to X200.00 per month. ~ilhereupon it was moved by Councilman Merrifield second by Councilman Stokes that resolution No. 185 be passed and adopted as read. :Which motion was carried by the following vote. Chief of Police stating that Officer Seed was on vacation from Nov. 8th to Pdov. 13th inclusive and that Doyne Stokes was replacing him during said vacation.
