MEETING HELD ON THE 2nd DAY OF June is 47
A regular Adjourned ~~leeting of the City Council of the City of
Elsinore was held on the above date. The meeting was called to
order`at the hour of 7:30 P.iVi. with P~Iayor Tarplev in the Chair.
Councilman John Allen, Leslie h~~errifield, tip. P. Smith, Fred Stc
and. Tviayor< Tarplev answeredRoll Call.
Thereupon the Clerk read a letter from City Attorney Best ex-
planing that the number of a resolution had nothing to do with-the
resolution as to its legality.
Thereupon the Minutes of the r,ag 19th meeting were approved as
read at the 1Viay 26th meeting.
Thereupon Councilman Smith read two letters from Los Angeles
County Sheriff's office giving the service rendered: thereby Robert
Copeland.

no errors or omissions were approved as read. '
it was moved by Councilman P'errifeld, second by
i that Resolution No. 457 be rescinded, which motion
by the following vote:

Thereupon the elerit read Resolution P7o. 459, a resolution
appointing Vincent Tidwell a regular City Street alxl 'aVater Dept.
employee.
jhereupon it was moved by Councilman Smith, second by Council-
man Stokes that Resolution No. 459 be passed and adopted as read
which motion upon vote was carried by the following vote:
Councilman: Allen Yes

Thereupon the clerk reported receiving a check from California
'vVater & Telephone Co. for x374.94, 1946 Franchise tax.
Whereupon it vaas moved by Councilman Idierrifield, Second by
Councilman Stokes that the check from California t,iater and Telephone
Co. be accepted and clerk deposit same in proper fund, :4rhich motion
upon vote was carried.
Thereupon the clerk reported receiving a cheek for ~*18.51 from
Peerless Pump Div. Food I!%iachinery Corp., refund for over-payment in
GVhereupon it was moved by Councilman N`errifield, second by Councilman
Stokes. that check be accepted and clerk,deposit-same in proper fund, which
moticsn upon vote was carried.
There being visitors present the Itapor called on them; a number spoke
on their views of the way the council was conducting City Business.
Councilman Smith gave a raport on the-activities of the Folice Depart-
ment in the past tovo years.
?7hereupon it was moved by Councilman it~~errifield, second by Councilman
Smith that the meeting be adjourned to .geetagain on June 9th 1947 at the
regular time and place, which ffiotion upon vote was carried.
