DAY OF February 1947 ' ER 6E' ORM 9]2 STAN UTAO MIN NTE R1 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the above date.The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P.M. with Mayor J.A.Tarpley in the chair. Councilman:- Leslie Merrifield,Fred Stokes,John Al1en,W.P.Smith and Mayor J.A.Tarpley answer roll call. Thereupon the clerk read the minutes of the January 27th.meeting and there being no errors or ommissions were approved as read. Thereupon the Clerk read ordinance No.269 for its second reading,an ordinance setting the rates of water used through the water meters. - Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Smith second by Councilman Stokes that ordinance No.269 be passed and adopted as read and the clerk instructed to have ordinance published one time in the Elsinore Leader Press,which motion was carried by the following vote. I 4hereupon it was moved by Councilman Allen second by Councilman Smit that ordinance No.270 be passed to its second reading,which motion was carried by the following vote. Merrifield that Councilman Fred Stokes be granted permission to leave State and be away for thirty days,which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Stokes second by Councilman that the bid of John-Manville,dated Dee.14,1946 for, 2500 lin,ft of 6" Class 150 Transite Pressure pipe @ 97.3¢ Per 1000 lin.ft of y." Class 150 Transite Pressure pipe @ 62.5¢ per be accepted and the clerk instructed to notify John-Manville of the Councils action.whieh motion upon vote was carried. thereupon the clerk read resolution No.t~42 a resolution for the appointment of one additional police offimer. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Stokes second by Councilman Merrifield that resolution No.t~/a.2 be adopted as read,which motion carri by the following vote. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Allen second by Councilman Stok that the Assembly of God Church be granted permission to erect a quonwet but type building in rear of the meeting place on West Peek and Spring streets,whieh motion was carried by the following vote. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Allen second by Councilman Merrifield that the bills be allowed as audited by the auditing cemmi and the clerk instructed to issue warrents fcr same,whieh motion upon vote was carried.
