A special meeting o£ the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the a
date.J'he meeting was called to order at the hour of 1:00 P.Ai. with Mayor Tarpley in
the Chair,
Councilman; Fred Penrod,J.J.Tavis,T,F,Yarborough and Aiayor Tarpley answer roll
call;
Chief of Police ti+Talter C.Dittle requested that the City Council declare the office
of Police officer No. being held by Earl i+4edlicott vacant.. He stateing his request wa
by reason that Officer i~iedlicott would not obey any of his orders and when asked to re
refused to do so.
Thereupon the clerk read resolution No.559,a resolution declaring the office of
Police officer No .4 held by Earl Niedlicott vacant effective midnight Aiarch 31,1949.
thereupon it was moved by Councilman Yarborough second by Councilman Penrod that
resolution No.559 be passed and adopted as read, which motion was carried by the
following vote.

Mayor Tarpley Yes Absent None
Thereupon the clerk read resolution i1o,560,a rsolution employing Irving Abels as a.
regular Police officer and setting his salary.

resolution No,560 be passed and adopted as read,which motion was carried by the follovrs
vote.

days when regular officers had there day off which motion was carried by the following
