MEETING HELD ON THE ~h DAY OF March .1949
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on r
`= the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P.M. with, Mayor".
Tarpley in the chair.
Councilmen: T. J. Hudson, Fred Penrod, J. J. Tavis, T. R. Yarborough, and '
I,iayor Tarpley answered roll call.
The reading of the ..*ninutes was dispensed with by order o£ the Mayor.
This being the time fixed by law for the canvassing of the ballots of the
Special Municipal Election held. March 1, 1949, the following report was made:
The total number of votes cast in the City of Elsinore upon
said proposition were 519.
The number of votes in the City for and against said measure
were as follows:
Yes 424
No 95
4hereupon it was moved by Councilman Hudson, seconded by Councilman
Yarborough, that the report be accepted and the proposition declared to have carried,
which motion was carried by the following vote:
Councilman Hudson Yes
" " Penrod Yes NOES None
Tavis Yes
" " Yarborough Yes Absent None
Mayor Tarpley Yes
Thereupon the Clerk read Resolution No. 556, a Resolution declaring the
results of Special Election held 1•Iareh 1, 1949.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Yarborough, seconded by Councilman
Tavis, that Resolution No. 556 be passed and adopted as read, which motion was carried
by the following vote:

The measure voted upon was as follows: "Shall the City of Elsinore incur
a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of X100,000.00 for the purpose of the
acquisition and. construction by the said City of Elsinore of certain municipal
improvement, to wit: Additions to and the reconstruction of the existing sewage
disposal plant, the construction of a force main sewer leading thereto, and the
installation of lift pump facilities, together with the acquisition of all pipe,
appurtenances, materials, equipment and other property necessary for said improve-
ment.
The total number of votes cast in the City of Elsinore, upon said pro-
position, was 519.
The number of votes in the City for and against said measure were as
follows: YES 424, NO 95•
The number of rotes at each precinct £or and ~ga?;nst said measure were
as follows:
Consolidated Precinct "A°: YES 183 NO 43
Consolidated Precinct "B~': YES 241 NO 52
The City Council having canvassed the votes at said election, has de-
clared that the said proposition has carried.
'~Jhereupon it was moved by Councilman Hudson, seconded by Councilman
Penrod, that meeting be adjourned, which motion upon vote was carried,
