R. fpVlCr C RT..NOPPO MINYTE RECORD A regular meeting of the City. Council of the City of Elsinore was held.on i the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P. M. with ~ ~ Mayor Washburn in the chair. ~ i Councilman; S. Farber, J. J. Tavis, R. Macy and Mayor Washburn answered ( ro31 call. Absent, Councilru~zil:liul-7.. I I Thereupon the clerk. read the minutes of the regular::?. meeting of November 13th, 1950 and th ere being no errors or omissions were approved as read. ~ Thereupon Clerk read Resolution No, b43, a resolution appointing $obert i I i Carroll as janitor and set salary at X35.00 per month. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Macy, i that Resolution No. 643 be passed and adopted as read, which motion was carried by the following vote: Councilman Farber Yes Noes: None ~ i " Tavis Yes " Macy Yes Absent: One I j Mayor Trlashburn Yes j I I i ~ Thereupon the fire truck matter was again brought up Mayor Washburn and ! ~~ Mr. Hertz invesicigated Seagrave pumper test in Los Angeles and also met with Los Angeles Metropolitan Fire Officials. Mayor Washburn also read letter from Mr. Swift of the Board of Fire Underwriters of the Pacific advising 2 trucks be used instead of one. Mr. Hertz spoke on repairs to Seagrave truck and pumper, ! also spoke on oust of new truck. Mr. Hertz stated he would amend present contract for an additional 6 months truck tryout. Mr. Gediman was instructed to iffiediately draw up an amendment to contract with Mr. Hertz. j l Thereupon Clerk was instructed to draw up Resolution No. 645 authorizing i I Mayor and City Clerk to sign amended contract with Mr. Hertz of the F. S, and W. W. Hirsch Company. Kaplan on Lot 2 in Block $8 of the City of Elsinore, in regard to selling same to City. No action was taken at this , time. I Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Maey, Seconded bq Co:m Gilman Farber, that Currie .Engineering be allowed to submit alternate Survey for sewer disposal. Motion, upon vote, "was carried.. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Macy, seconded by Councilman Fmber, that Clerk order 2 sets of blueprints for water dept. and 2 sets for Sewer Dept. Moti on, upon w te, was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Tavis, i that Trueitt be authorized to purchase 2 tires for trash truck and that Chief Burch be authorized to purchase 1-tire and tube for police-car. Motion, upon wte, was carried, it Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Farber, that Police Officers C. Hayman and H. Zimmerman be granted pay raises to x`210.00 per month, which motion, upon vote, was carried. ~ Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Farber, that a 30 minute parking zone be painted on curb in front of Georges Ford Agency, ~ South Main Street, which motion, upon vote, was carried. ~ ~i Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Mayor Washburn, that a telephone with direct line be installed in Police Dept., which motion} upon ~ wte, was carried. i j Whereupon it was moved. by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Macy, ~ that the X20.00 per month given to the Elsinore Valley Youth Center be stopped, which motion, upon w te, was carried. ~ Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, that he be authorized to order ~ full load o£ seal coat oil to be used as seal coating on project 15, Lakeshore. ~ Drive, to complete the job, and if any oil left, it is to be spread on any or all ~ of the following streets: Langstaff, No. Poe, Flint and Scrivener. Motion was seconded by Councilman Macy, which motion, upon wte, was carried. I Mr. Conklin requested that Mill Street to be improved and oiled. Counci Lean Farber to investigate and report before council at next regular meeting. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seeded by Councilman Tavis, that Sumner Street, 150 West o£ Langstaff be blacktopped to curb, which motion, ~ u n wte was carried.. Po a ~ ~ i ~ ~ i i \ Mr. Conklin requested council to put up no dumping and no hunting signs ~ i at or on East city limits.
