DAX of October zs 5~ order at the hour oP 730 P.M. with Councilman; °amuel Farber,J.J.+avis and Ray Hull answer roll ca1l.Councilman Macy and Mayor Washburn Absent. Thereupon the clerk read the minutes of the October23rd,1950 meeting and there no errors or omissions were approved as read. This being the time and place as adverti.zed for the hearing of protests on the proposed closing of Silver Street between West Graham and Heald Avenues the chair asking if any one present had any protests,if so they could make then at this time being no protests the following proceeding were taken. Thereupon the clerk read resolution No.bkl a resolution declaring said section of Silver Street closed. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber second b~ Councilman Hull that resolutikon No.6k1 be passed and adopted as read and a csrtsiEi~}i:-copy sent to the County ecorder,which motion was carried by the following vote. Councilman n u Farber Yes Noes None Hull Yes Acting Mayor Tavis Yes Absent two Councilman Farber Street Commissioner reported that as the Forestery llivision ' were completing there building on there property leased from the City a curb should be put in and at the same time a curb put in from Langstaff Street on the south side to Poe then follow around on Poe to the south side of Boy cout Property, and Peebrought up to graded s Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber second by Counciaman Hull that the Street Department be authorized to install curbs starting at the Southwest corner of Langstaff and Graham to the South Fast corner of Poe and Graham then along the East of pos °t. to the south corner of Boy Scoot lease,Also to bring Poe St up to grade f: low place to Graham yve~whieh motion was carried by the following vote. Councilman n u Acting Mayor Farber Yes Noes None Hull Yes Tames Yes Absent Two Councilman Hull Fire Commissioner reported that the fire Dept.wanted drill weekly instead of twice a month as at present also that the fireman wanted to inspect incine; taking turns weekly. his matter taken under advisement by the Council for a later action. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber second by Councilman Hull that the police Dept be authorized to purchase two flashlites,which motion .upon vote was e Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull second by Councilman Farber that the Police Dept.be authorized to purchase a heater for the police car which motion upon vote was carried. Mr Landershot of the local cab Co asked regarding a franchise and w told that this matter would be taken up with the City attorney. Whereupoh it was moved by Councilman Hull second by Councilman s that the m be adjourned,whiehrmotion upon vote was carried. /f -,~
