August, I9 50 A regular adjourned meeting of the City Council o£ the City of Elsinore was held on the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7;30 P.M. with Mayor Washburn in the bhair. Councilmen; Samuel Farber, J.J.Tavis, Rag Hull and Mayor Washburn answer roll call. Councilman, Roy iiacy absent. Thereupon the Clerk read the minutes of the regular meeting held August ly, 1950 and there being no errors or omissions were approved as read. Thereupon the Mayor read a letter from the Santa Ana River Water Ass'n., they suggesting that the City help out financially in a rain making program, as other water companies and cities had done so. I~fapor Washburn requesting the privilage of answering said letter, also read letter from the Governer of the State in regards to civilian defense program. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, second by Councilman Tavis that Playor :^das}iburn be authorized to answer the letter from the Santa Ana River Water Assn as he seen fit. Which motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon the Clerk read Ordinance No. 329, for its second reading, an Urdinance setting the amount of money needed to carry on the various departments and pay the bonded indebtedness. 'whereupon it was moved by Councilman }lull, second by -0ouncilman Farber that Ordinance No. 329 be passed and adopted as read, and Clerk instructed to have same published once in the Elsinore Leader Press. idhich motion was. carried by the following vote. ',Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, second by Councilman Tavis that Ordinance No. 330 be passed and adopted as read, and Clerk instructed to have same published once in the :Ilsinore Leader Press. .dhich motion was carried by the following vote. An Urdinance regulating Taxi Cab drivers and requiring them to get a permit to drive From the Police llepartment. Yhereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, second by Councilman Hull that Ordinance No. 332 be passed to its second reading, which motion was carried by the Following vote. Thereupon the Clerk read the resignation of Officer De Lorene, as a member of the Elsinore Police Department. 4Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, second by Councilman Hull that the resignation oP Officer De Lorene be accepted with regrets. ia~hich motion upon vote was carried.
