DAY OF April, Z9 50 A regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of trie City of rlsinore was held on the above date. ^1he meeting was called to order at the hour of 7;30 P.}-I, with ?°iayor Tarpley in the chair. Councilmazx; Samuel Farber, Fred Penrod, J.J. Tavis, T.R.Yarborough, and mayor `Parpley answer roll call Thereupon. the Clerk read the minutes of the regular meeting held April 10, 1950 and there being no errors or omissions were approved as read. 9Jhereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, second by Councilman Yarborough, that the letter from the International ;lectrical Inspector's Assn. asking that the city become a member of said Assn. at a cost of ~" 10.00 per year be tabled. `lhich motion upon vote was carried. Councilman '~arborough, Street Commissioner, reported that the seal coat job on Hill, Sumner, and Lookout, had been completed, and was a well done job. Thereupon the Clerk read I?esolution ?do. 604, a resolution authorizing the tlayor and City Clerk to si•n an agreement m~ith the Ca1i£. Electric ?over Co. to install new poles, move existing poles, and do other lighting improvement at the City Ball 1 aric. ?Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Yarborough, second by Councilman `J'avis, that Resolution PIo. 604, be passed, and adopted as read. ?~;hich motion was carried by the following vote. i Councilman Farber Yes " " Penrod Yes I'does ; None Tavis Yes " " Yarborough Yes Absent ; iJone 2layor Tarplea= Yes The matter of the City deeding beach propertzr to the Park District was brought up, but as the details had not been completely= worked out the following motion was made. IThereupon it was moved by Councilman Penrod, second by Councilman Yarborough, that the reading of a propesed resolution granting authority to sign said resolution, and deed to Park Board be tabled untill the next regular meeting j i,ihich motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon the Clerk read an agreement between the Board of Supervisors and the Cit•=, for the purchase by the cit~r of tax title land in Section 4.of the newly armexed territory, also read Resolution Piro. 605, authorizing the Savor and City Clerk to sign said agreement. i1}iereupoh it ti~ras' moved by Councilman Yarborough, second by Councilman Tavis, that Resolution do. 605, be passed and adopted as read. `.a?hich motion was carried by the following vote. Spring Sts. be closed for approx. one hour on the afternoon of .April 25, 1y50. -Lhich ^!otion upon vote was carried. i•lhereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, second by Counci7rnan Yarborough, that the Deputy City Attorney again ask I3ulot and Crane, ;engineers to deliver to the city certain maps of street and sewer survey work done by them within fifteen days, and. if not delivered to statt suit. }Which motion upon vote was carried. Council;nan Tavis reported that as the city was laying a new water line on Niley Street, a two inch line on each side of the street, and he having property on the dead end of said line his water pressure would be very low, and as he was planning more buildings would need more vrater, and asked to be connected to the higkr pressure line. ?Ihereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, second by Councilman Yarborough,. that T~Tr. Harmon, plaint. Supt. be authorized to connect I~Yr. Tavis's water meter to the high pressure line. t~dhich motion was carried by the following vote. This matter was takers under consideration but no action by the Council. Councilman Yarborough also reported that as funds here available for the improvement of Poe street, north of Swnner,and Flint street, from toe to Langstaff this work should be started right arra~r as it had to be completed by June 15, 1950, or the
