S. P. 5C0.VICC WIC FORM S7P STANOAR~MI. A Special meeting of the City Council o£ the City of F,lsinore was .held on the above date. The meeting was called to grder at the hour of 7;30 P.M, with 1~4ayor Tarpley in the chair. Councilman ; Samuel Farber, Fred Penrod, J.J.Tavis; T.R. varborough, and Mayor Tarpley answer roll call. There being no objections the t*iinutes of the regular meeting, held on ifarch 13, 1950 were not read. Chief of Police Bittle, at this time asked the Council £or special officers one to work on pay weekends on Pottery street, during time regular officers were on vacation. Recommended that tor. Daune Roderick be employed as a regular officer to replace officer Thompson, also that Captain Burch, be granted a fifteen day i vacation. ~ inlhereupon it was moved by Councilman Penrod, second by Councilman Tavis, ~ that P•4r. Jack -furphy be appointed,to work. weekends on Pottery street during time regular men were on vacation. 6dhich motion upon vote was carried. 'thereupon the Clerk read >3esolution No. 602, a resolution declaring the ~ position held by officer Thompson vacant. Ihhereupon it was moved by Councilman Penrod, second by Councilman Tavis, that Resolution No.602, be passed and adopted as read. ?nlhich motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon the Clerk read Resolution No. 603, a resolution appointing Daune Roderick, as a regular police officer, with a starting salary of ;~ 175.00 per month. ~ ilhereupon it iaas moved by Councilman Penrod, second by Councilman Tavis, that Resolution luo. 603 be passed and adopted as read. P~hich motion upon vote ~ was carried. ';thereupon it ,aas moved by Councilman Penrod, second by Councilman Tavis, that %aptain Burch, be granted a Fifteen day vacation starting March 22, 1950 I^7hich motion upon vote was carried. C.L.King be appointed as a special officer without pay. dhich motion i upon vote 4aas carried. `thereupon the Clerk opened and read the bids for a one and one half ton truck for the Garbage llept. as follows ;Lakeside Chevrolet Co. 9$ 1,825.50 plus sales tax. Cal George Ford llealer, p 1,877.13 sales tax included. Central Chev. -- Co., Los .Angeles ~ 1,656.51. plus sales taxi Braman Dickerson Co., Riverside 7_,080.01, sales tax included. There being no objection the awarding of bids was tabled until the regular jj meeting March 27, 1950.
