~¢ A~Vspecial meeting of the/City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on
the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 4.00 P.M.,,wi~h
Mayor Tarpley in the chair.
Ij Councilman; Samuel Farber, Fred Penrod, J.J.Tavis, T.R.Yarborough, and
IYIayor Tarpley answer roll call.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, second by Councilman Penrod
that the sum of One Hundred Dollars (100.00) be paid to the Lake Elsinore Valley
Sun, to help pay for advertising of the city brochures being put out through the
Chamber of Commerce. Which motion upon vote was carried.
Mr. Harmon, Maintenance Supt. reported that the truck being used by the
Garbage llept, was in very bad shape, and that it probably would be more economical
to purchase a new truck.
[dhereupon it was moved by Councilman 'larborough, second by Councilman Penrod
that the Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids ,for anew one and one harf (12)
ton stake body truck, said bids to be opened on IDussday night, February 7.1,,"950•

that the Streets improved under project nine, Gas Tax Imp. Fund, be seal co'a~2d,
this including Hill street, I{eald to Sumner, Sumner street Hill to Poe street,
Lookout Pottery to Flint street, attd new portion of Lindsay street. Cost to'be
approximately ~ 2,300.00. 'rThich motion upon vote was carried.
Thereupon the Clerk read Resolution No.59~, a resolution declairing the
position of City Engineer vacant.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman 'Davis, second by Mayor Tarpley, that
Resolution No.596 be passed, and adopted. Which motion was carried by the follow-
ing vote.
