MINUTE RECORD OF Regular Meeting ofthe City Council, .City of Elsinore MEETING HELD ON THE 12th DAY.OF March I9 51 CRYICC C ST /.N DPRD MIN V' A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P. M. with Mayor Washburn in the chair. Councilmen J. Tavis, R. Hull, R. Macy and Mayor Washburn answered roll call. Absent, S. Farber. Thereupon the Clerk read the minutes of meeting of February 26th and there being no errors or omissions, were approved as read. Shereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull and sewnded by Councilman Tavis that the Council hire Mr. C. 0. Soots as substitute during the absence of Mr. Nortin, compensation to remain the same, effective March 15, 1951. Motion, upon vote, was carried by the following vote: Councilman Tavis Yes Absent: One Macy Yes " Hull Yes Noes: None Mayor Washburn Yes Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Macy, seconded by Councilman Hull, that Clerk advertise £or bid as follows: Installation of lines and repair connections through conduit laid by the City of Elsinore and bidding on the basis of footage. Motion, upon vote, was carried. h~lhereupon it was moved by Councilman Macy, seconded by Councilman Hull, that city pay the assessment of $16,50 to the League of Cities. Motion, upon vote, was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, seconded by Councilman. Macy, that Resolution No. 672 be passed and adopted that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the agreement by and b etween the City of Elsinore and Willis J. Hall with the exception that Line 26 of page 1 be changed to read "Mr. C. 0. Soots, Building Inspector" of the City of Elsinore". Motion, upon vote, was carried by the following vote: Councilman Hull Yes Absent: One Macy Yes " Tavis Yes Noes: None Mayor 9ashburn Yes Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, seconded by Councilman Macy, that the council oohsider closing alley in Block 5 and alley in Block 6, also Lindsay Street from Pfiihthorn to Railroad right of way, subject to an agreement between the City of Elsinore, a Municipal Corporation, and A. H.Shafer and Son Foundry. H. Shafer and Son Foundry as shall h provided in an agreement between the City of Elsinore, a Municipal Corporation an d A. H. Shafer and Son Foundry, according to the terms of 'can. agreement. One - i ~~ Ma.cy Yes ~~ Tavis Yes Noes: None Mayor Washturn Yes Whereupon it was moved by Mayor 'Mashburn, secsonded by~Gouncilman Hull, that City Clerk ba authorized to .purchase between this date and the beginning of the new fiscal year, stationary items which are stock items. Motion, upon vote, was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Hull, that Resolution No. 673 be dra+rn and adopted to hire permanently M. L. Murphy with a salary of X150.00 per month, effective March 15, 1951. Motion, upon vote, was carried. ~ '~tThereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Hull, Resolution _' III No. 674 be drawn and adopted that the salary of the City License Clerk be raised from I" '. I~ X28.75 per month to ~55.U0 per month, and the salary of the City Mater Clerk be Iii li I increased from X115.00 per month to X135.00 per month. Mayhall thanked Councilman Macy for his time and assistance with the Athletic Club in improving the ball park; also stating that some lights were otrt at First and third bases and would have to be replaced. Mr. Mayhall stated that he had one bulb and that the new reflector that Mr. Watson put in would have to be fixed as it was not installed properly. The clerk was instructed to call Mr. 'Matson to repair reflector and pgt in new bulb on third base line lights. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Hull, that Elsinore Athletic-and Recreation Club be given new lease agreement on ball park. Motion, upon vote, was carried. Council instructed Mr. Harmon to have his man repair council table broken leg; also to wire brush and paint panel in mens~ lavatory. Whereupon it was moved b y Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Macy, that bills be paid as audited. Motion, upon vote, was carried. Yniereupon it`was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Macy, that meeting be adjourned at 11:10 P. M. Motion, upon vote, was carried.
