City Council, City'of Elsinore MEETING HELD ONTHE 9th_ DRY OF Aprll 7951., ~ A regular meetingof the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the above date. The meeting was called to order at the. hour of 7:30 P. M~-0rith I Ifayor Washburn in the chair. Councilmen R. Hull; R. Macy, J.Tavis,S. Farber and Mayor Washburn were present. Thereupon the Clerk read the minutes of the meeting of March 26th 1951 and there being no .errors or omissions, were approved as read. Thereupon the Clerk read a letter fmm M. L. Hayes asking permission to be excused from paying business license on the Detroiter Cabins as they are not being rented. ~,dhereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Tavis, that M. L. Hayes be excused from paying business license but will have to pay up her delinquent account. Motion, upon vote, was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Hull, that the Council reject the claim of Laura Fine and that Clerk send claim papers to the City Attorney. Motion, upon vote, was carried. II whereupon it was moved by Mayor Washburn, seconded by Counci]Inan Hull, that ii D. Crane make a survey for sewer line fm m sewer pumping plant on Riley Street, ~ North on Riley Street to the intersection of Riley Street and Minthorne Street; ~) thence ~dest on Minthorne Street 100 feet past Poe Street. Motion, upon vote, was j~ carried. Clerk wa.s requested to notify Southern California Gas Company to refill de- pression in street at High and Lake Streets; also to notify D. Fletcher to pick up dirt spilt at the comer of East Graham a¢1 Chestnut Streets. ~hiereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Hull, that the Clerk b e authorized to purchase 1 dozen Parma-Brooms for Street Dept. Motion, upon trote, was carried. ~II Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, seconded by Councilman Farber, that Clerk purchase 1 box of 48 .flashlight batteries for police department. Motion, I~upon vote, was carried. Motion was made by Counci]Inan Tavis that the council rescind the motion of last meeting giving police emp],oyees a x$10.00 increase in salary.
