The meeting was called to order. at the hour of 7:30 P. M. with Mayor Mashburn in the chair. Councilmen: S. Farber, J. Tavis, R. Macy, Councilman Hull and MMayor ~rTashburn answered roll call. Thereupon the clerk read the minutes of the regular meeting of April 23, 1957- Vii; ('- and corrected the word from month to year in Item 2 of sheet 2; Approved as read. ~~ I i^dhereupon it was moved by Counci]_r,en Macy, seconded by Councilman Farber, that III, P~Lr. M. Dahlin receive final payment of x$50.00 on sewer deposit. Motion, upon vote, !f was carried. Motion, II pon vote, was carried. Thereupon Clerk read letter frorn Bebeck and Brkich dated May 12, 1951 demanding at the Gity o£ Elsinore acquire the property for the Disposal Plant, as the. City s holding up start of construction. Mayor Gdashburn stated that he had vi§ited or about May 7, 1951 with HIr. Clough and stated the reason for the delay*. Mr, ough said he was satisfied frith the explanation and that he would gn along with City Council. Ordinance 175, Sections 4, 5 and 6 were read and the Clerk-was told to dive the pour; master a copy of same. [aY:ereupon it cods moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Tavis, that the City Council go on record favoring A,B. 3217 and S. B. 769. The clerk to write Chairman Stanley urging a °do pass" on the above bills. Motion, upon vote, was carried. n+7Y~reupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councihman Hull, that the I4ayor and Councilman Macy be authorized to negotiate with Attorney Ganahl on the Following basis for sewer farm land: No. 1. :dater for 7 years from completion of plant and rent free on all of the land South of Temescal ditch to City limits in exchange for title to same and Stewart to also allow cancellation of existing agreement. Ito. 2. 1 year for ~p1.00 for an acre with 2 rights of way; also 3 year option as in Ganahl's letter of option and appraisal board re- commendations. Motion, upon vote, was carried. Motion, upon vote, was carried. - ;thereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Hull, that Seargent Goodwin be reimbursed 15 gals of gasoline at City Yard Pump for gas used in connection with City Rental Violators Survey. .Motion, upon vote, was carried. (thereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, seconded by Councilmaan Tavis, that Resolution 686 making bt. C. Bittle regular patrolman with an increase of X10,00 per month, effective May 15, 7951, making total monthly salary d$220.00, be adopted and passed. Motion, upon vote, *,uas carried. Coun~ loran Hull read police report of action for previous 2 weeks. :thereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Hull, that the B and B Hotel owner be allowed toremoge part of curb in alley for drive- ,_ way on his property and replace with half round ridge of blacktop. Motion, upon vote, was .carried. 'Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Hull, that ,_ the bills presented be paid as audited by auditing committee and warrants drawn on s3,me. Motion, upon vote, was carried. Councilman Farber gave report on proposed 1951-52 street work to be considered,, 'n~riereupon it was moved by Councilman Hu11, seconded by Councilman Macy that the clerks art9 treasurer's financial report be accepted as read. Motion, upon vote, was carried.
