The meetin; was called to order at the hour of 7:35 P.P4, with Mayor ~1asP,burn ih the chair. III Councilmen R. Hull, R. r^1acy, J. Tavis, S. Farber and. Flavor ilashburn were Thereupon the Clerk read the minutes of the meeting of July 23rd-. 1951-and there being no errors or omissions, were approved as read. Mr. B, Evans from Diehl Rc Company explained the need and various methods of revision of the City~s finance accounts. thereupon it eras moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Hu11 that Mr. B. Evans & Company be authorized to audit and prepare reports in conjunction with audit and to give couhcil a clearer report and cost on revision of books at next regular meeting. Motion , upon vote, was carried. 9hereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilnan Hull that Ordinance Ido. 336 be passed and adopted and Clerk to publish same. Motion., was carried by the following vote. Councilman Hull Yes Ayes: Five Councilman Tavis Yes Councilman Macy 'Yes Noes: IlTOne Councilman Farber Yes Mat*or dashburn Yes Absent: None Thereupon the Clerk read application and a3reeaient by & between the City of Elsinore and the State of California for Social Security. ^Pzereupon it was moved by Councilman Ru11, seconded by Councilman Farber that it be resolved tY~ t a resolution be passed and adopted accepting the State Applica- ion and Agreement for Social Security and that the Mayor be designated as authorized agent for the City of Elsinore. Motion eras carried by the following vote. ~ ~ Councilman Hull Yes Ayes: Five ~ Councilman Tavis Yes Councilman Piacy yes Noes: None Councilman Farber Yes Mayor i^lashburn Yes Absent: Atone Whereupon it eras moved b;f Councilman fiavis, seconded by Councilman Hull that a resolution be passed and adopted allowing old ~,varrants and demands prior to 191+b be destroyed according to Section 31+090 Government Code. Motion, upon vote, was carried. I~I 9hereupon it Bras moved by Councilman Macy, seconded by Councilman Farber that a resolution be passed and adopted allowing transfer o£ ;1231+.35 from the 1950-51 Gas Tax Imp. Fund to the Gas Tax Plaint. Fund. Motion, upon vote, was carried. ':whereupon it eras moved b;= Councilman Piacy, seconded by Councilman Farber that i Ordinance No. 337 be passed. unto its second reading at the next regular meeting and on the 10th. day of September at 7:30 P.M. O~clock shall be designated as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vaca- tion. Motion, upon vote, was carried. Notion, upon vote, was - I. carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Mach*, seconded by Councilman Hull that the Santa Ana River !nleather Corporation be paid j11L11 balance due to the above corporation. I4otion, upon vote, was carried. ~ 'Whereupon it ;vas moved by Councilman Macy, seconded by Councilman Tavis that P4r. J. Di Giacomo be allowed to Finish room on top of garage and to pay for build- ing permit. Motion, upon vote, was carried. 'Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Niac~*, seconded by Councilman Hull that ':ii A. A. Arrderson~s.salary be increased to .";?190.00 per month retroactive to 5-1-51. ;j! Motion, upon vote, was carried.. i, 'i 'dhereu~on it .vas moved by Councilman Y.ull, seconded by Councilman Farber that Dili a 1951 Ford deluxe be purchased from Cal George Ford Agency, for the sum o£ X500.00 j~:i plus the old car, For the police department.. Motion, upon vote, was carried. III III thereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, seconded by Councilman Farber that '~' Captain Ha3anan and Sergeant Goodvrin be allowed to work there vacation and be paid ~~ for same.
