A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on
ii the above date. Thy meeting was called to order at the hour of 730 P. M. ,r~th
Mayor Mashburn in the chair.

~~ Thereupon the Clerk read the minutes of the meeting of November 13th, 1951
~j and .there being no errors or omissions, were approved as read,

~i Mr. L. Seers, representative of the American Legion Lyn Mort Post 2@0
I. requested the City Council to con sidera proposition of donating land for a
Legion Clubhouse building. The Council in tum requested the Legion to show
adequate proof of being able to build the builnYng and also to look over some
If city property before further negotiations would be carried on.
Mayor Washburn, Councilmen Farber and Macy gave a brief resume of the
meeting with Mr. Sam Steā¢.~rart and his attorney. The meeting eras held at Mr.
E. Best's office, Saturday November 17, 1951. The result of the meeting is
that after careful consideration, Mr. Stewart finally accepted the following
offer for and in consideration of,the City of Elsinore would receive, based upon
land appraisal, a fib re agreed upon by all parties concerned, the Southwest
one-half of Parcel ll of Goodwin, Whitten and Elliott's Subdivision, consisting
o£ 9.12 acres, more or less, and the Southwesterly 659.47 feet of Lot 11, Block
°A° Rancho La Laguna, consisting of 20 acres, more or less; also the Northwesterly.
3.86 acres o£ Lot 4.a~I_Mr. S. Ste~.vart would receive a five (5) year lease on
all the abo ve land, plus the 20 acres, more or less, now .owned by the City of
Elsinore and all the waste water flowing from the dispdsal plant, c~dlatever the
flow might be, plus an option, subject to biel, for an additional five (5) years."
If a figure cannot be determined by either party, an arbitration board will be
set up to negotiate the lease price of the additional 5 years.
thereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Hull, that a.
resolution be adopted allowing the Mayor and City Clerk authorization to give
a decd on 20 acres of the Goodwin, i~Pnitten and Elliott Tract owned by the City,
to John Doe and Jane Doe. Motion, upon vote, was carried.
GVhereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Macy
that the annexation proceedings due to be held this evening be postponed for
30 days. Motion, upon vote, was carried.
ii tnlhereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Tavis,
j that the Mayor get heating units for Council Chambers, Police and Sheriff's
Departments, from Glo-Fire Co., also have log in Clerk's office rechecked.

' Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Ma~~. seconded by Councilman Tavis,
that M. L. Murphey be allowed to work her vacation period from December 1st to
December 15, 1951. Motion, upon vote, was carried.

~~ complete recovery, Mr. Jack Murphey be hired in his place permanently and also Oscar

Tilley be hired permanently. Both men shall receive X200.00 per month each as

!~ that bills be paid as audited by auditing committee and warrants be drawn on same.
