MINUTE RECORD OF Regular Meeting o£ the City Council, 6ity of Elsinore
MEETING HELD ON THE 10th DRY OF MaTCh Z952
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on
the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P, M, with
Mayor ?~Tashburn in the chair.
Councilmen R, Hull, R. Macy, S. Farber, J. Tavis and Mayor GJashburn were
present.
Thereupon the Clerk read the minutes of the meeting of February 25th, 1952.
and there being no errors or omissions,. were approved as read.
Whereupon it was moved by Mayor ;dashburn, seconded by Councilman Hull that.
a letter be sent to Assemblyman John Babbage and Senator N, Dilworth protesting.
State Sales Tax increase to 4~ and giving the counties 1~4 of 1~ of the tax from
the incorporated areas and 1;~ from the unincorporated areas until the cities and
counties interim committee report is thoroughly studied, Motion, upon vote, ryas
carried.
`shereupon it was moved by Mayor Washburn, seconded by Councilman Hull, that
a resolution be passed and adopted giving the Mayor and clerk authority to enter:
into an agreement with the County Board of Supervisors to purchase a certain parcel
of land located in the City o£ Elsinore. Motion upon vote, was carried.
~E Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Tavis, seconded by Councilman Hull, that
a letter requesting the Elsinore Water Users Association to ask the Temescal
~~ Water Company to release all of ourvater from Railroad Canyon Dam, March 11,
li 1952• Motion was carried by the following vote:

Councilman Macy Yes
Councilman Tavis Yes Noes: None --
Councilman Farber Yes
Mayor idashburn Yes Absent: None
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, seconded by Councilman Farber, that
Mr. Payne be hired for the Street Department at a salary of S~l$0.00, effective
March 15th, 1952, for the first month and ~200.OO per month thereafter. Mr. Payne
will start March 12th as day laborer and shall be paid X1.00 per hour for 2$ hours

~dhereupon it was moved by Councilman Farber, seconded by Councilman Hull, .,_
that A, ?4. Montonya be hired from March 15th to 31st 1952 at X100.00. Motion, upon
vote was carried.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Macy, seconded by Councilman Hull, that
the Mayor be allowed to leave the State for 10 days. The date of departure left
up to the Mayor. Motion, upon vote, was carried.
Clerk was requested to order extension phone transfer on 3311 line to sheriff`s
department.

Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, seconded by Councilman Macy,
i that bills be paid as audited by auditing committee. and warrants be drawn for
fj same. Motion, upon vote, was carried..
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hull, seconded b Councilman Macy,
that there being ro further business, the meeting adjou t 10E00 P. M.
Motion, upon vote, was carried. ,
