The Clerk red the minutes of the meeting of May 12th, 1952, there being f
no errors or omissions noted, upon motion duly made seconded and carried, they i~~ere j ~

j j The following correspandence was read and action taken as noted: Letter of i'
~ ! resignation from Elsinore Planning Conuaission of P1ea1 F, Lansing dated May 12th j
~ accepted, Clerk instructed. to write letter of appreciation to Mr Lansing for his

Letter of resignation from local Elsinore Disaster Council by Lirector S, Farber
dated Aril 21~th, Wass accepted, Clerk instructed to vrrite letter of appreciation
to Mr Farber, ,aho remamns as Director of Hlsinore Valley Disaster District.
Letter May 26th from. L C.l^Ihite, of Glendale ~'alif~ requesting refund of
garbage fee at-206 NC. Lindsay Sty Clerk instructed to notify Mr %'~hite that
garbage fee can be cancelled only vrhere water meter is shut off,
Letter from G.J. Gutedal of 705 ,^lest Graham Ave requesting City Council to
put on Pet Show and Carnival on Labor Day was read anal Clerk instructed to
refer letter to Chamber of Commerde and so notify Mr Gutedel.
Letter dated May 23 from Stockwell and Kinney of Riverside, quoting prices
for netia typewriter read and Cler$ instructed to secure prices from other
typewriter sunnly companys,
Letter dated May 13th from City Clerk A, Meyer, ap.ointing Mrs Ada B,
Chamberlain, Deputy City Clerk was read and accepted, whereupon the new Deputy
City Clerk was sworn in by I`Iayor I°~rgan and she signed the Oath of Allegeance,
Letter dated 2~Yay 13th from L.R. Miller, Director of Division of .Sanitation
of Riverside County, calling the Councils attention to the tmsanitary condition
of the City Dump, eras raced and the Clerk ti~ras instrur.+~ed to write Mr Miller that
acquisition oi' new .City Dump property wa.s practically complete and. that new dump
ould be in service in the near future.
Letter da+,ed May 16th from S. ,d, Lowden District Engineer, State Division of
Highvrays inclosing project statement for expenditure of Gas Tax Allocation was read
and Councilman Nelson authorized to sign the statement,
~~ Letter dated May 22nd from City Attorney Eugene Best, requesting authority
€r to appoint Arthur L, Littleworth, as deputy City Attorney eras read and on motion.

the City Clerk was instructed to °au^ite a letter to attorney Best, notifying him
I of adoption of resolution No 731 and expressing the appreciation of the council

f Minutes of Elsinore Planning Commission of May 22nd, requesting appointment
of Mr Berg to succeed Mr N.F. Lansing on Commission read, No action,
On motion of Councilman Nelson, Seconded by Councilman ''+dashburn and carried
I Salary of Mrs Ada B, Chamberlain set at ~a150.00 per month effective Niay 15th,
' 1952.
14 On motion of Councilman Hull seconded by Councilman Johnson and carried
~` Miss Barbara Goodvrin was employed to assist-in the '-dater Clerks Offices temporarily
~~ at salary of 75 cents per hour, effective May 21st, 19520
~~~ On motion of Councilman ,;dashburn seconded by Councilman Nelson and carried
~a~'illianr Bradley :•aas placed on monthly. salary of X200.00 effectibe June lst, 1952.
Mayor Morgan appointed Joseph Seitz, Director of Elsinore Disaster Council
and instructed the Clerk to notify Pir Seitz of his ap}~iontraent, sanding a copy of
~ the letter to C~zl-Dresher, giving him Mr Seitzs home and business addresses
and phone numbers,
Mayor I~ rgan appointed Councilmen Nelson and Johnson as committee to study
land submit to council figures for next years tax budget.

3~~ City Building Inspector Soots granted two weeks vacation starting May 28th.
!~ Councilman Nelson and Street Supt, Soots appointed to investigate complaint
€of N, Villa aboulr entrance to his residence ~3d make recommendation to council,
T'Ja.ter Supt. Harmon presented snecifi~atians for new City pump submitted
by, Pomona Pump Sales and Service Co also by Peerless Welding and Maclaine Shop,
{The City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids to furnish the City o£ Elsinore
one, 1760 Rpm 2 -Stage lax5 t~>pe D S Pump and Base installed, to deliver 600 GPM,
