S@YICC C FORM 9 Z BTgNOPRD MINUTE RECORD t The citycouncil of the city of Elsinore met on the above date and was called to order f I. ~at 7:30pm by Mayor Morgan,following councilmen answered roll-call Johnson~Hull,t+lashburm j ~3 Nelson & Mayor Morgan. ~_ I~I3Minutes of council meeting held Sept 22 1952 were read and approved as read, Councilman f~Washburn stated that his absence from last meeting was due to grand jury duties which ' ;kept him in Riverside to a late hour~the absence wasexcused. _. ~ ~ i iMr Morrow was present and was called on fpr certain details relative to insurance i I ~~policy covering non-city owned vehicles following which the clerk was instructed to have! jthis insurance coverage endorsed to the city-owned vehicle policy now carried with the j' Gough Ins.Agency~and increase the coverage to the same amount as carried on city-owned !! vehicles, :i '_.. (j Mr Sparles of Lynn Truck & Equipment San Bernardino was present and offered an~e;xhibit ~,of truck engine parts explaining relative merits of G MC and other truck engine construe ~jClerk read letter from county surveyors office relative joint city-county use of the "new dump facilities in which monthly fee of~60.00 by the county was suggested,clerk was ~iinstructed to make survey of thepossible county population likely to make use of this ;facility and compare with the number using a simular facility in Corona, 3 CC8 l~It was moved by councilman Nelson that Engineer Crane be authorized to make survey and set grade stakes on Heald Ave for project X21 B motion was seconded by councilman Hull ,and upon vote carried unanimouslyo 3 ~It was moved by Councilman Nelson and seconded by Hull that Mr Crane be authorized to make a topographical map of city owned property in the area lying between Main & Lewis 'istreets and Graham Ave & South-city limits upon vote motion carried ~I~ ~i~It was moved by councilman Nelson seconded by Johsenn that resolution # 746 be adopted upon roll-call vote motion carried. I It was moved by bounci.lman Hull seconded by Johnson that the bid of Lakeside .Chevrolet Ico on delivery of new Chevrolet truck for sanitation dept be accepted Motion Carried and clerk authorized to issue P 0. 3 ~It was moved by councilman Hull seconded by Nelson tka,t of lakeside Chevrolet Co on ~sdelivery of new body to be installed on sanitation truck be accepted with slight modifi- "catons as to step plates Etc to be added Supt Public Works and clerk insirructed to check closely into additional cost before issuing P 0 Motion Carried ~~ iIt was moved by councilman Washburn seconded by Nelson tha resolution # 749 be adopted Motion Carrtfied Clerk requested atrthorization to have adding autchine cleaned and oiled Request granted ~It was moved by councilman Nelson seconded by Johnson that city employees not needed for ;emergencies be allowed day off Tuesdafr November 11th 1952 motion carried i ~~t was moved by councilman Washburn seconded by Nelson that Jack Murphy be granted 2 wee ~wacation effective Nov.lSth 1Q52 motion carried MINUTE RECORD OF Sheet ~2 cf October 13th 1952 MEETING HELD ON THE DRY OF ~ 39 LITNO IN V.S.A. (3 ~ A£ter discussion on condition of present. police car clerk was instructed to advertise ~a for bids for new police car to replace the. one now ixi use requesting bids on both six ~I I; and eight cylinder types also worth and without automatic transmissiion. [j It was moved by councilman Nelson seconded by Hu11 warrant be .drawn favor of chamber of commerce in the amount of X250.00 ~`~~:`~€~;€ to be charged against the fund allocated for advertising with the understanding that $60.00 of-this amount be used to purchase a page add on the proposed map. now in the process of being compiled by the chamber and the~~Valley Sun° .upon vote motion carried. It was moved by councilman Hu11 seconded by Washburn ~ and carried that councilmen Johnson and Nelson be granted permission to leave the sate of California the week of October 18th to 25th. It was moced by councilman Nelson seconded by Washburn and carried that clerk and treasurer monthly reports be accepted. Mr Soots instructed to contact Mr Walker on the matter of erecting poles for street decorations at Christmas time. It awn moved by councilman Washburn seconded Johnson and carried that warrants as audited be approved. It was moved by Johnson seconded by Nelson that meeting adjourn at 10:y,5pm City Clerk
