Tt~I+ITY SEVENTH DAY OFOCTOBER 1952 _ __ _ _ _ _ _ YALE FORM ~~ - ~ STANDARD MINUTE RECORD Elsinore city council met on the above date and was called to .order at the hour of q:30 pm with Mayor Morgan in the chair and presiding the following councilman answered rolls Johnson Hulls Washburn~Nelson and Mayor Morgan, f ~~ Councilmasi Hull led the flag- salute: Clerk read the minutes of councii muting held Oct 13th there being no errors or omiss noted they were approved as read also read the minutes of planning comniss3.on meeting of Oct 23rd which were accepted ss readyit being noted that commission approved of certain tree planting proposed by the ~ Lake Elsinore Hotel~and the clerk instx~xcft8d to advise the commission of passage of resolution by the council regulating types of trees to be planted. Bids were received on the furnishing a new l~~loor sedan for the city police department and opened bids received were from Lakesode Chev Co Cal George and Rufus Hook some were for 1952 models and some for 1953 models ~¢/ ~~f~`~###~ ~'# it was moved by Hurl 2nd by ~rlashburn we bujr 195 ~hevro e which motion upon wt -was defeated by 3 to 2 vote, ~'~'~ One bid was received for the codification of city ordinances from Cleveland Snith of Coronado Calif,it appearing that the price was out of reach of present finances g matter was tableduntil latero ` Moved by councilman Johnson second by Hull that clerk be instructed to issue warrant N a favor Robertson & Co for balance due on 10~~ Transite Line less ; 10 0% of total _~ contract price this to be held for a 30 day test periodo motion carried. ~' ~; Clerk instructed to write to county surveg~ors gffice re- joint use of new city owned LL = dump by city & county eaq~ressing the opinion that $100.00 per month would 'he a more equitable rental rate, Chief Hayman asked for stop signs sah Heald Ave at Iindsay and Scrivner streets ~ after some discussion it was moved bycouncilman Hull second by Johnson that stop ' sign be authorized against Heald Ave traffic at Lindsay Street also across-walk aisros Heald Ave at Poe Street Motion Carried ,Clerk instructed to write Grammer School requesting a sYfety sally be placed at Poe and Healdo J It was moved by counci]maxiTidashburn second by Hull that hieP be authorized to purchas , 12 mattress covers for jail beds motion Carried e. 9 Clerk instructed to ask the Library Board for progress: report on new ]ibrary plans Kaplan request for junk yard license at 500 minthorn St was referred to planning +ll commission for reccar~nnendation. ( Karl Huber requested a street light be installed at eorne~ of Kellog & Idmi.ted streets l II clerk isstructed to draw a resolution authorizing. this light also authorizing sale of the bracket and vapor lite to power company to be installed at Spring and Graham ~' ~ by the power corhpany and placed in the same category with the vapor lights now in use. at Graham & Langstaff ~C Riley streets MINUTE RECORD OF _ _ _ _. _ _ MEETING HELD ON THE DAY OF 19 i N Q ~ W ~ ~ ~ ~ Z 9 ~ W 0 ~ LL Q Z SFIEET # 2 Mayor Morgan brought up the request of Farber & associates for a sewer deposit refund for further~~cussi.onsafter some discussion by all present it was decided that while records are entirely clear ash to the original inteirt on this transaction there did appear to be some. basis for their claim~it was moved by councilman Hu11 second by Johnson that refund of 100000 bs made payment in full Motion Carried Ghief Hayman requested authority to employ Chas E Rag as a regular police officer with the rating of a sergeant council approved and instructed clerk to draw a resolution suthoriziug appointment, Moved by councilman Hull second by Morgan that warrants as audited be approved and bills ordered paid motion carried Mr Soots requested permission to purchase various meter party nipples Etc for water department also four stop signs permission granted. Moved by councilinarr Johnson second by Nelson mee=ting adjourn. at 10:3opm Carried City Clerk
