Clerk read several co~umications among which was a letter of resignation of po]ice officer-clerk A E Waters to become effffictive December lst 1952,it was moved by Counc Nelson seconded by,Hull resignation be accepted motion carried, ' Also read was a letter of thanks from Chamber of Commerce for the donation of $250,00 • for advertising purp;sesyand an invitation from Ministerial Al~.ianee for a council representative to attend a luncheon at Rainbow Gardens Dec.3rd 19520 Bid of D R Crane on material and labor to install a new switch panel and switches at the water works pumping plant was 836000 only bid received, matter tabled until later '~incent Tidwell requested he be allowed to work remaining 12 days of 1952 vacation i and be paid for first half of Deeember,on motion by Nelson second by Johnson & carried ~ request was granted. Clerk requested wage increase for asst clerk typist and was instructed to submit serve m, a; of wages of all employees not effected by general increase granted July 1st 19520 ~ a~ no Mr Soots requested small amount of supplies be purchased for stock at city yard,on ~~ motion by councilman Nelson seconded by Hull request granted. - It was moved by councilman Hull seconded by Mayor that warrants as audited by committe be approved and bills ordered paid motion carried, Mr Al Harrison was present and spoke briefly on the cloud seeding program for this year and asked the council to join with other ogganizations in financially supporting this programs matter tabled until a later date, It was moved by councilman Washburn seconded by Nelson that meeting adjoumn at 9:OOpm ti '. ayor - C er
