The City Council of the City of Elsinore met on the date above written at 7:30pm ~'
with Mayor Morgan presiding and the fpllowing councilmen present~HuLl Washburn
Nelson,eovneilman Johnson absent.
Rev. Mosby delivered the invocati.on~councilman Hull led in the pledge oP allegiance
and salute to the flag.
Clerk read the minutea of meeting held on May 25th 1953 there being no errors or
omissions noted minutes were approved as read, ~
Among communications read was letters from Sheriff Rice Re new quarters for sub- ~
satation, upervi:sor Jones Re-joint use of city dump~Planning Comm.approving groposed~ )
annexation~Littleworth Re-legal processes on proposed annexationo 0
Rev. Simpson was present and spoke i.n behalf of the request of Nazerine Church for L
permit to construct a church at Graham & Lewis street which had been rejected by the a I
planning couuffiLission,counci~, declined. to take action"°on the request until the reasons f
for plazuiing commission recommendation were clarifi.edy ~
~- Mr Chas Louejoy requested the council to construct a sewer line to connect with his °
f property near Pottery & E.HiLl streeirs~was unable to come to an agreement as to ~ ,
location of Line and method of financing~no decision reached, '
~ Clerlt was. instructed to write sheriff Rice advi:ai.x~ .him that effotsts were being made
i N< to arrange to provide new quarters for sub-station and that availability date and
a a~ rental figure will be quoted as soon as agrangements are completed
s ~~ Resolution #779 approving annexation of parcels # 1 & 2 (Trlest Addition) was read and

Resolution #780 approving annexation of parcel #3 was read and upon motion by ~ !

On motion by councilman Hull seconded by Washburn clerk was authorized to have ,city
hall cooling system inspected ,and put in good working condition by Elsinore Heating
& Air, Conditioning Co.
Two bids were read for furnishing new pump for sewer plant~Pomona Salsa & Service
offering a X00 GPM 5HP 4 pole 3 phase 60 cycle at the deliverted price of X400,00 I
Peerless Welding & Machine Shoproffering a Pac3~Yic Centrifugal 550 GPM 1750RPM I
for the dili.vered-price of $L}28o98~ ~~
it was moved by councilman Hull seconded by Washburn, and carried that purchase of the s
"Pacific Pump from Peerless be authorized, '~i
It oars moved by Mayor Morgan seconded by Nelson .that Mr Soota be authorized to employe
John Coxon to assist in checking condition of sidewalks throughout the city and
notify property owners of needed repairs where necessary also check for incorrect P ~'
hoods numbers at the same time which motion upon vote was carried. ~ ~
Proportion of Mr Sanger to sweep. streets with motorized sweeper was rejected,

Clerk was instructed to write to state division of forestry through local ranger I~',
French requesting assistance in a tree planting programm on the hillsides east side ',
of town to alleviate erosions also instrtzeted to, secure prices on various types of
