Invocation leas delivered by Father Meagher, and the Pleag~e of A11eg- iance was led by Councilman Davidson. RoII Call teas answered by all five councilmen. The minutes of April 13, were approved as read. The minutes of April 17, were approved as corrected, and the Planning CorN,iission 1,4inutes of April 23, were read and ordered placed. on file. it~ay 7th wes the date set £or the Planning Comm~i.ssion Public Hearing on the rezoning of a portion of Lot;?_, Block $$ on LLinthorn Street for Floyd G. Jesme. A portion of the minutes of the Board of Supervisors meeting on April 13 was read urging the cities to take a stand on contributing nothing less than 10~ of the sales tax receipts to the county. The League of Cities Resolution Sample was read urging the city contribution to be 5~. On motion Councilman Davidson, seconded Councilman McAdams, Resolution 976 was adopted stating that Elsinore would stand behind the 10~ contribution. A copy of said vesolution be be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors. Resolution of the Board of Supervisors to renew lease for one year ending June 30, 1960, for the Sheriff's Sub-Station and Dept. of Building was granted on motion Councilman Macy, seconded Councilman Yarborough, carried. Ordinance 382 regulating the planting, trimming and care of trees and shrubs in the parkways, was read and repealed on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Davidson, carried. On motion Councilman Davidson, seconded Councilman Yarborough, carried, it was agreed that next police car will be a Ford. The question of what constitutes a small animal in the City of Elsinore was tabled for the Mayor to gather further information from other cities on motion Councilman Macy, seconded Councilman McAdams, carried. Councilman Macy made the motion to have the City Building Inspector in the City Hall from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m, only, seconded Councilman McAdams, carried. On motion Councilman Davidson seconded Councilman Yarborough, carried that the Gity purchase as much b in. sewer pipe at 23¢ afoot as can be afforded.. Bids on cleaning and straightening the well at the City Yard for ~k28 and one Por $612 an hour with not more than two days work involved were read. No action taken. The bid of Hodges Ford Co. to replace the police car, with trade in of both the present Ford and Chevrolet was accepted on motion Councilman . Yarborough, seconded Councilman Davidson, carried. Warrants approved by the committee were approved and ordered paid on motion Councilman Davidson, seconded Councilman Yarborough, carried. The cleak's and treasurers reports for Bebruary and March were secs` ~~, and ordered filed on motion Councilman Macy, seconded Councilman Yar,~,, borough, carried. ,P,~~ ~5 Arthur Garrison requested to know how much the sewer line to his property on Davis Street would cost. Councilman Yarborough and Councilman Macy are to figure the cost and forward the figures to him. Mrs. Hudson protested the. roping off of the stairs to the Council Chambers stating that the City Hall should be open to the public at all times. Mayor Bartlett informed here that this was done to avoid the confusion caused by the damming of the stairs, which inan emergency would. cause a serious hazard.
