The City Council of the Cit;* of Elsinore met in regular session on
April 13, at 730 pm. vrith irayor Bartlett presiding.
Invocation eras delivered by Father Meagher and the Pledge of Allegiance
was led by Councilman Davidson.
Roll Call found all five members present
The minutes of the Llarch 23rd. meetit7g vaere approved as read, and the
minutes of the April 3rd. special meeting v^rere approved as corrected.
The minutes of the Planning Colnnussion meeting on April 9th vvere carried
to next meeting on motion Councilman LLacy, seconded Councilman Davidson,
carried.
- The F.U,C, notice for the Santa Fe hearing on June 4th. was read,
laia~*or Bartlett to attend.
Sam Farber's request to have the City abandon Langstaff St. from Llin-
thorn north to the railroad right of way ~ the alley from Poe St.
southeasterly to the railroad right of way carried on motion Councilman
Davidson, seconded Councilman Yarborough.
Geo. Lyell's resignation from the Library Board was accepted. Lirs. Fearl
Rupard to fill idr. Lyel1's unexpired tenor on motion Councilman llavidson,
seconded Councilman Yarborough, carried.
The Elsinore Youth Center request to resolve city from responsibility
vras accepted. Letter to be filed.
Letter from Capt. Ray to Chief Kittle re. two way traffic in alley west
of L4ain between Graham and Peclc held to next meeting for further stuc~;^r
on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman h?acy, carried.
Mayor Bartlett's Proclamation for Fublic Schools Week accepted and
ordered to be sent to newspapers.
Resolution 973 granting a tyro year license to t<ir. I~1.R. Tuiilts for the
.Elsinore Taxi carried on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded
Councilman Llacy.
Resolution 974 prohibiting parking bar the nevrly installed bubb mailbox
carried on motion Councilman Davidson, seconded Councilman Llacy.
Resolution 975 denying the claim of Paul Payne carried on motion
Councilman Lucy, seconded Councilman Yarborough, Said resolution to
include ° also because the notice eras not timely filed."
Request of John R, Smith for vacation pay denied upon motion Councilman
Lacy, seconded Piouncils~an Davidson, carried.
Reauest of John E. ~doodsicle for 4 days vacation pay tabled on notion
Councilman P;~acy, seconded Councilman I:1cAd<~.ms, carried.
Request of Eugene Uandermark for vacation pay due him referred for
further information upon motion Councilr.~an Yarborough, seconded
Councilman LlcAdams, carried.
Councilman Yarborough brought up bids for a power movrer for the park.
Elsinore Feed Store bid X196.51, Corona Hardware bid X6218':35. Decision
held until receipt of Taxes.

The fee for Attorney Kegley was set atr.a ~W1000 annual retainer fee
on .-notion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Davidson,
carried.
Councilman Davidson recommended that the salary for the Police Chief
be set at ~a450 a month and X410 for Captain. I:~iotion by Councilman

Fire Chief Boontjer requested the use of a City owned jeep during the
i'ire hazard season for inspection purposed. Referred to adjourned
meeting of April 17.

and I.Ir. Snyder requested a light at Adobe ~ Pottery Sts. Councilman
Ilcndams to investigate.
Jim Erick requested tlkat the X100 application fee for contractors be
looked into, I~?ayor Bartlett to investigate ordinance.
LIrs. Fiona Leese desired to knot^~ vahy rezoning reauest wa.s denied. She
was informed that request was not denied by the Planning ComrLission,
they only requested tki,t she submit plaits for rezoning.
Tkirs. iiebecca Socol complained about the gnats, uayor Bartlett informed
her that he is to meet l~ritl-i State on 'sled., ,°~pril 15.
Motion to adjourn 'tc April 17th at 2:30 pm. carried on motion Councilmaan
