~~ i COUNCIL MEETING JANUARY 12 1959 The City Council of the City of Elsinore m¢t on the da.to ab¢~e written and was called to order at 7:30PM with Mayor Froneh presiding, Invocation was dclicered by R®v Carl Scmidt, Councilman Seitz led in the pledge of Allegiance & Salute to the Flag, R¢11-Call was answer¢d by all five Councilmen. hYinutes ¢f the Council meeting •f Dec.22 1958 and the Planning Commission meeting of Jan 8th 1959 were read and approved as road, Cemmunieatiens read by the clerk included letter £rom Public Utilities Comm. Re-Closing of Santa Fe Station~Robi Francisco letter of thanks for use of council room fsr Red-Cross~Resignation of Clerk-Administrator, a j Th¢ resignation of Go®dwin was acc¢pted and payment of two weeks unused vacation authoriz¢d on moti®n by Davidson ~ c®nded by Baxtl¢tt and carried by a unanimous roll-call v®te. mho cenditi¢n of the resuscitator in the City Ambulance was discussed and the matter referred to Chiefs W®odside & Boontjor for study and r¢commendations, The hour for public hearing in the matter of Vacating a portion of Lindsay St having arrived the Mayor called for any wishing to bo heard on the subject to express themselves at this time' there was n¢ response t® this request either pro ®r c¢nlv,~hereup¢n the Mayor declared the hearing closed, Rosoluti¢n #969 vacating that portion referred to in Ordina nee # #385 was road and adogked on motion by Bartlett socond¢d by Davidson on a unanimous roll-call vo~to. The request for a stop sign on Heald Avo at Poe Street having bean r¢forred to the ~®lice Dept for recommcndatisn,Chiefs report submitted with a survey made by Officer Vandermark indicated that through traffic en Heald Ave is too heavy to grant the request of the Scheehand it i~as the r¢co~mnendation of Chief Woodside that the request not b¢ granted ~ this was approved on motion by Seitz seconded by Bartlett Officer Vandermark then recommended that a stop sign bo placed on Poo Street at this int¢rsection to protect School busses against through traffic on Heald Aver this was authoriz¢d on m®tion by Villa seconded by Davidson. The matter of tank truck delivery charge was again brought up and discussed at lenghtx after which it was mov¢d by Seitz and seconded by Villa that the rat¢ for delivery of water by tank truck be set at 1,10 per ~>~ trips the mayor called for a roll-call vote on the motion which resulted as foll¢ws Davidson passed Vi11a.~Fronch & Seitz Aye Bartlltt No Ordinance #3g6 am¢nding #268 (Traffic Ord.) was read for the first time and passed to a sec¢nd reading on m©tion by Davidson ~condod by Seitz. idarrants audited by the committee were approved a.nd order¢d paid ¢n m¢ti¢n by Bartlett seconded by Davidson. The monthly reports of the cler$ & Treasurer were acc¢pted and placed on file en motion by Seitz seconded by Villa.
