COUNCIL P~ETING DECEMBER 12, 1960
The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on
December 12, 1960, and *aas called to order at 7:30 P.t4. with
Mayor Bartlett presiding.
Invocation was delivered by Rev. Easter, and the Pledge of Allegiance
was led by Councilman Berry.
Roll call found Councilmen Stewart, Berry, Hitt and Bartlett present.
Councilman Yarborough absent,
The minutes of PTovember 28 were approved as read, the Plan, Com.
minutes of Dec. 8 accepted.
An. invitation from the Jewish Cultural Club was read, as was a
replay from the Div, of Beaches & Parks, Wm. Jones, and Board of
Supervisors.
The amended. temporary water permit dated December 2, 1960 ?•~ac read
to the cotuzcil, with Resolution 1035 accepting the terms and
conditions of the permit being passed on motion Councilman Berry,
seconded Councilnan Hitt, car.
?darrants audited by the committee were approved and ordered paid on
motion Councilnan Berr;,r, seconded Councilman Stewart, car.
The clerks and treasurer°s reports for Arovember were accepted on
motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Hitt, car.
A report from Councilman Hitt on the dog leash law aas tabled on
3rIayor Bartlett's suggestion,
On motion Mayor Bartlett, seconded Councilnan Berry, and carried,
the Eou~icil voted to give the Mayor a key to the front office, so
that he may have access at all times.
On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart, car., the
purchase of paint for the city hall hallway was approved.
The purchase of various items of surplus property was approved on
motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Hitt, car.
The purchase of a sand trap for the Spring St, well, and 768 of
6" transite pipe was approved on motion Councilman Berry, seconded
Councilman Steuart, carried.
IDn motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart, carried,
the high reservoir to be cleaned on Wednesday, Dec. 1l~.
Mayor Bartlett o send letter of appreciation to the State Div, of
High?•rays for the installation of a culvert at Main & Pottery Streets.
Mayor Bartlett announced that the next council meeting would be on
Dec. 27, as Dec. 26th, a holiday.
P4r, S'!m. Miller of Rancho St, requested his letter to be read,
.requesting that something be done about the drainage problem .from the
Freeway down Rancho St. Also requested that a sign denoting dead end
street be posbed~ either at Rupard and Pottery or farther up.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M, on motion Councilman Berry,
seconded Councilman Stewart, car.,~~
