HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-28-1960 City Council Minutes~~ ~ COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 28, 1960 The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on November 28, 1960, and was called to order at x:30 P.M. with Mayor Bartlett presiding. Invocation w33 delivered by Rev. Davis, and _T4ayor Bartlett led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call found Councilmen Stewart, Yarborough, Hitt and Bartlett present, Councilman Eerry absent. The minutes of November 14, 1960 were approved as read. On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt, carried, Councilmen Yarborough, Stewart and Bartlett to attend the Citrus Belt league meeting i.n Banning on Dec. 9. Mayor Bartlett urged individuals to donate to the Elsinore Valley fiitchen Xmas donations, but stated city could not. Councilman Yarborough to contact Mrs. Washington about her request for the removal of trees and installation o£ curbs on S1. Lowell. Mr. Barrick's complaint about rubbish on lot near his home, referred to Police Dept. Dr. ISing's request to settle dispute over his boundry line referred to City Attorney. iiayor Bartlett appointed Councilmen Hitt and Yarborough to study the ordinances pertaining to a dog leash law and report to council. Resolution 1031 requesting county road department help on the resurfacing of Sumner St. approved on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt, carried. Warrants audited by the coirmittee were approved & ordered paid on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Mayor Bartlett, carried. Councilman Stewart was appointed Police Commissioner by Mayor Bartlett. Mayor Bartlett informed the council that it had been necessary to send the tractor to the Ford Tractor Co. in Riverside for repairs. Om motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded. Councilman Stewart, carried, the installation of a street light on Limited between Main and Spring was authorized. On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt, carried, four police officers to attend the FBI school in Hemet for a period of ten days, and to be allowed mileage for the trip.
