COUNCIL MEETING NOVfiMBER 11t, 1960
The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regu7.ar ses;>ion
on November 11~, 1960, and was called to order at 7:30 P,P?, with
Mayor Bartlett presiding.
Invocation was delivered by Rev, pavis, and the Pledge of
Allegiance was led by Councilman Berry.
Roll call found all five councilmen present.
The minutes of October 21t and the Plan. Commission minutes of
Nov. 10 were approved as read.
On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt and
carried, Mayor Bartlett and Councilmen Stewart and Yarborough
to attend Mayor's Conference in Hemet on Nov. 17.
The purchase of a pump and materials £or the Spring St. *aell at
a cost of ~l~,222.50 from the Pomona Pump Co, was authorized on
motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough, carried.
The purchase of a 30 HP booster pump for the City Yard from
Pomona Pump Co, at a cost of ~!h654.70 was authorized on motion
Counci.Jman Stewart, seconded Councilman Berry, carried.
Resolution 1033 welcoming the Laundry ti~TOrkers Union to the
valle~t was adopted on motion Counci]man Yarborough, seconded
Councilman Berry, carried.
The time having arrived for the opening of the police car bids,
the bids were read with Vinton Ford. bidding $1590 plus tax and
Lakeside Chevrolet bidding X1792 plus tax On motion Councilman
Stewart, seconded Councilman Hitt, the purchase of a car from
Lakeside Chevrolet was approved on the following roll call vote:
byes: Stecaart, Yarborough, Hitt, Bartlett

On motion Mayor Bartlett, seconded Cnuncilman Berry, carried, the
purchase of the well pumps to be from the Capital Improvement Fund.
The clerk's & treasurer's reports for October were accepted on
motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough.
The Chief of Police°s request for a leash law in the City eras
carried over until other cities are contacted.
Councilman Yarborough to look into request for street lite on
S. Spring St.
On motion Counci]man Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough, the
notes on the grader & ditcher in the amount of y~2817,).t0 to be
paid o£f to the First National Bank. Car.
X1,401:.98 was authorized transfered from the Cap, 7:mpvt. Fund to
the Equipment Pool to reimburse for equipment payments on motion
Councilmar_ Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, car.
Mayor Bartlett requested that the council authorize the purchase
of 20 loads of gravel & sufficient oil to prepare blacktop for
street work, Request granted on motion Councilman Berry, seconded
Councilman Yarborough, car.
The request for renovation of the flagpole holes to be taken up with
Fire Chief.
On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, the
meeting adjourned at 8 :45 P.M. % ~~'
