Schram, and Mayor Bartlett led the Ple dge of Allegiance. Ro11 call found Councilmen Yarborough, Berry Hitt sad Bartlett present, Councilman Davidson absent: - The mi~iutes of June 6 were approved as read, and the Planning Commission minutes of-June 16 were accepted. The Los Angeles Brick & Clay Products invitation to tour the plant xas '.rsad~:with it beingagreed that all four councilmen will attend. On motion Councilmwu Yarborough, aeeoaded Councilman Hitt and carried, Mayor Bartlett. and Councilman Yarborough to attend the Town Mcetittg on the-White House-Conference for Children & Youth_in Riverside on June 29, 1960. No action taken on League of Galif. Cities meeting in Palm bprings cn June 2l~, 1960. Capt. Marshall to attend the meeting of Police Chiefs & Sheriffs in $sn Diego on June 22, on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, carried. Other letters read were from_the State Water Rights Board re. post- ponement of the hearing between the Parkway District & the Temeacal Water District to July 19, 1960. Also letter from Mrs. tiTanda Stokes and the Health Dept. The request of L0. Watson to start his vacation on July 5th. was granted on motion Councilman.Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry. On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough the Freeway Agreement was accepted. The Fire 'Dept's, request to purchase 300'. of high pressure hose, carried on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilmana Yarborough. The reaolutiott renewing Radi~yxcommunication agreement was acceptud on motion Counci]man Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt. Warrants audited by the committee were approved & ordered paid on motion Counci]man Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry. The Clerk's. report for May was accepted on motion Councilman Yar- brough, seconded Councilman Berry. Idate~Schulman was appointed to the Planning Commission on motion Councilman Yarborough,_aeconded Councilman Berry.d~.con,, Mr. Lyle Cameron gave a-short talk on the opening of the old air- port for a parachute dumping school.
