Communication from the 39ept. of-Beaches and Parks regarding the purchase of the skating :rink was-read. On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, the Rreexay;Agroement xas carried over for further clarification. Horace Whiaenant xas hired as a part-time employee to take the xater survey at a salary of X1.$0 per hour plea 10 gala. of gad Por each survey every two weeks, carried on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry. Mayor Bartlett reported that he had met frith the Santa Fe Railrnad ropreaeiitative about the cutting of Lakeshore Dr. through to 3oin Railroad Avenue. Survey must be made first. Also had met xith the Health-Dept. on Friday, June 3s everything in order on the water deliveries. Oa motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt, carried, Mayor Bartlett and Councilman Berry to travel to l3esert Center to look into disposing of effluent from the defluoridation plant.` On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Hitt, Mayor Bartlett and Mr. Anderson to make trip to Surplus Property Hdg. to purchase motors and steel shelving if possible. carried.
