The City Council of the City of F.lsi.nore met• i.n regular session on
May 16, 1960 and was called to order at 7;30 P,M, t,+ith Mayer Bartlett
presiding.
Invocation was delivered by Rev. Scksnitt & the Pledge of ~:1_].egiance
was led by Councilman Davidson,
Roll call wa.s answered by all five councilmen.
The minutes of May 2, May 5, May 9, & May 7.2 t•?ere approved as read.
On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Davidson., Mayor
Bartlett, Councilman Yarborough and Hitt to attend dxeague of Calif.
Cities dinner at Soboba Hot Springs on May.;19;y1~60,
The Lake Elsinore Recreation & Parkway hearing notice was referred to
Attorney Begley.
Motion by Councilman Davidson; seconded Councilman Berry to approve the
Dept, of Public Health amended permit of April 29, 1960,

Dr, Stallings letter re, approval of skating rink purchase by the
recreation commission was read, along with the inventory received from
Doime Stakes & letter £rom state® Moticn by Councilman Berry, seconded
Councilman Davidson that the Recreation Commi_ssi.on purchase the rink
& equipment as soon as lease is transfered, car.
Motion Councilman Davidscn, seconded Councilman Yarborough that Henry
Boontjer be authorized to dig library basement, car.
Ordinance #392 was read and adopted as an emergency ordinance to control
the use of the bottled water ?~ on motion Councilman Davidson, seconded
Councilman Berry and passed on an unanimous roll call vote,
Onc:motion Councilman Davidson, seconded Councilman Yarborough, the
warrants were approved and ordered paid.
Necessary repairs to the motor grader were authorized on motion

Mayor Bartlett announced that a chrnge in. commissioners would be as
follows, Councilman Hitt from Parks to Streets, and Councilman Yarborough
from Streets to Parks. Councilman Yarborough said he would work with Mr.
Hitt to acquaint him fa~kth the procedure.
Mr. Goulart requested repairs to his sidewalk & curb, which have been
cracked by city equipment, and Mrs, Stokes requested Attorney Kegley's
bill,
Bill Cox spoke briefly about investigating the Fruitval.e c3~aim for
water, and urged the City Attorney to look into it. Grant 1Tanner
requested a stop sign at Acacia St. & County Club, as it is a blin~t
cornor.
