Adjourned Meeting April 19, 1960
°The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in an adjourned
session on April 19, 1960, and was called to order at 7:30 P.M.
with Mayor Bartlett presiding.
Invocation was delivered by Rev. Don Johnson, and the fledge
of Allegiance was led by Ccuncilman Davidson.
Roll call found all five councilmen present.
This being the time for the canvass of the results of the general
"`'^"-'~' -municipal election held in the City of Elsinore on Apr31 12, 1960,

_`"' the Clerk was instructed to open the proper envelopes. The follo~ring

The canvass of the returns ha~rlnp, been completed, Resoluticn 10 9
declaring the results of the election and naming the new offiei.als
was adopted or. motion Councilman Davidson, seconded Councilman Xar-
borough, car.
Mayer Bartlett then swore Mrs. Kunkle in as City Clerk, C1.erk
then swore the three new councilman and the City Treasurer into
office.
Councilmen Macy & McP.dams addressed the Council 3~ audience in a
farewell speech.~'~°,(1,
Mayor Bartlett then turned the meeting ovex to the C]erk, whc in
turn opened nominations £or Mayor. On motion Councilman Davidson,
seconded Councilman Berry, Thomas Bartlett nominated £or Mayor.
Roll ca7.1 vote resulted i.n Mayor Bartlett being reseated,
Ayes: Davidson, Yarborough, Berry, Hitt
Passed: Eartlett
Mayor Bartlett.t•hen called for a motion £or Mayyor Pro-Tem. On
motion Co,~ cilmar. Davidson, seconded Councilman Berry, Thomas
Yarborough elected.. as Mayor Pro-Tem. carried.
On motion Councilman Yarborough, seccnded Councilman Davidson, the
meeting adjourned at 8;30 P,M, to Thursday, April ?.1 at 1:00 P.M~
