COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 4, 1960
The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on
April !~, 1960, and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor
,Bartlett presiding.
Invocation was delivered by &v. Easter and the Pledg® of allegiance
was led by Councilman Davidson.
Roll call found all five councilmen present.
The minutes of March 21 regular meeting, and the adjourned meeting
of March 28 were approved as read.
dttorney Kegley's opinion on application of So. Calif. Gas for
rate increase was read and discussed. Action held to next meeting
for Attorney Kegley to discuss flzlly with the council.
Councilman Macy reported that he obtained anouther bid to furnish
a submersible pump for #1 well, which bid was ~~00 more tha:3 Pomona
Pump Co. On motion Counciilman Davidson, seconded Councilman
McAdams, it was agreeded on a unanimous roll vote to purchase a 25 HP
submersible pump from the Pomona Pump Co. to be installed in #1 well.
Dr. King's request to have Silver St, graded through at his expense
was granted on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman
Davidson, and carried, so long as Dr, King complies with !a0' width,
and railing if necessary.
Dr. Harry C, Reynolds request to re-open the junk y~ad on Railroad
Avenue was granted on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman
McAdams, carried.
On motion Councilman Davidson, seconded Councilman Macy, carried, the
board for the canvas of absentee ballots on April 19 at 1:00 P.M, was
approved as follows:

Blanche Thompson -- Judge
Horace Whisenant -- Clerk
Lila Lemon--Clerk
On motion Councilman Davidson, seconded Councilman Yarborough, the
compensation for absentee ballot board will be $$.00. car.
On motion Counc9.lman Davidson, seconded Councilman Xarborough, +,hc
light opposite Catholic Church on Lowell St, will be changed £rom
1500 L. to 6000 L, when power co. replaces pole. car.
Warrants audited by the committee were approved & ordered paid on
motion Councilman Davidsoh, seconded Councilman Yarborough, car.
Councilman Macy reported that the crossing at dint & Riley has been
completed, and-that bldg's, on State Park property have been. removed.
Councilman McAdams reported that grading is being done on Ellis St.
On motion Councilman Macy, seconded Councilman Davidson, water de7.ivery
to schools be stopped. car.
Mr. Gilbertson asked if Attorney Kegley's bill had come in, at which
time letter from Attorney Kegley was read stating he was too busy to
render complete bill, but inclosed phone bill for Nov. -Mar. in the
amount of ~265.05.~

Councilman Yarborough reported that meeting with Mr. Maier and
Mr. Reinke and others was held to d~.scuss the successfulness
o£ other defluoridation plants in Texas and N. Dakota. No
answers can be given u.~#,31 the 18 questions have been answered.
Councilman Macy reported that they hope to install old pump from
#1 well in the new well on spring St, and pump water to the narks
and schools.
On motion Councilman Davidson,, seconded Councilman Macy the meeting
adjourned at 8:35 P.M.-~_
