The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on
July 10,, 1961, and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Mayox
Bartlett presiding,
Invocation was delivered by Rev. Easter and the Pledge of Allegiance
was led by Councilman Berry.
Roll call found all five councilmen present.
The minutes of June 26 were approved as read, and the Planning
Commission minutes of July 6 were accepted.
taarrants audited by the committee were approved and ordered paid
on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart, car.
Mr. Larrabee of the Santa Fe Railroad gave a short talk on the
merging o€ the Santa. Fe with the Western Pacific Railroad. The
Council took this matter under advisement,. further action held to
next meeting.
Mra. Ora Oggs request to have the grade stakes placed in front of
705 W. Sumner, so as to enable her to install curbs was granted on
motion Councilman Yarborough' seconded Councilman Stewart.
Resolution 1053, renewing the teletype agreement with the county was
passed on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry.

The Recreation Commission request for permission to construct a
combination storage and snack bar building at the ballpark was
discussed, with Mr. Strick being asked to submit plans to Planning
Commission. `Councilman Yarborough to check on the lighting for the
new ballfield and the restrooms.
On motion Cou~~ilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough, ear.,
Hen Millers resignation as spokesman for the businessmen on the
business license increase was accepted.
The bequest of Robert Anderson that the City accept the relinguish-
ment bf the County Building Inspectors room, .instead of the-va®om
in the Sherifi"s Dept. was granted on-motion Councilman Berry,
seconded Councilman Yarborough, car.
A.A. Anderson's and Vincent Tidwell~s requests to work their vacations,
and draw vacation checks were granted on motion Councilman Berry,
seconded Councilman Stewart, car.
John J. Smith inquired as to the progress on the crossing at bake-
shore.Drive~ and was informed that this is up to the P.U.C.
Councilman Yarborough to check in Riverside to see if the subdivision
of Elsinore Heights #5 has been accepted.
On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, the
meeting ad~ourned~~
