COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 13, 1961
The city council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session
on March 13, 1961 and was called to order at 7:30 P,P~I, with Mayor
Bartlett presiding.
Invocation was delivered by Rev. Fink and the Pledge of Allegiance
was led by Councilman Berry.
Roll call found all five councilmen present,
The minutes of February 27 were approved as read,
The clerk'sJtreasurer's reports were accepted on motion Gouncilman
Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart, carried,
Warrants audited by the committee were approved and ordered paid on
motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough, car.
Correspondence read was from Mayor's & Councilmen's Conference,
Councilmen Stewart, Yarborough, Berry & Bartlett to attend on
March 16, if possible. From Paul Anderson, letter re. a fixup-
cleanup campaign, to be acknowledged, and the Board of Supervisors
motion approving the County Road Dept, doing city street work.
Ordinance #396, re. dog control in the City of Elsinore was read
for the second time, and after much discussion was passed on the
following roll call vote:
Ades: Councilmen Stewart, Berry & Hitt,
Noes: Councilman Yarborough.
Passed: Mayor Bartlett
Resolution #10!:11 amending the major city street system, ( replacing
#10!11) was read and discussed, and passed on motion Councilman
Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough, car.
Resolution #10!15 budgeting major city street funds was discussed
and passed on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough, car.
The Mayor's Proclamation on Public Schools Week was passed on motion
Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, car.
Resolution #10116 re. state highway construction funds was discussed
and passed on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough,
carried,
The payment of X208,00 from the Capital Improvement fund £or the
Aitto machine was authorized on motion Councilman Bartlett, seconded
Councilman Hitt, car,
Councilman Berry reported on the need of a compressor & jack hammer
at the city yard, and was informed by Mayor Bartlett, that these
items have been requistioned for from the Surplus Property.
Mayor Bartlett requested that the council look into the Calif, Water
& Telephone Co's. request for a 5' easement behind the theatre on
Graham Avenue to be considered at. the next meeting,
On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, the
meeting adjourned at 8:110 P.M
