COUNCIL i1EE1^ING JADIUARY 9, 1961
The City Ccunci.l of the City of Elsinore met in regular session
on January 9, 1951, and t,*as called tc order at 7:30 P.ii> wit!:
Mayor Bartlett presiding.
Invocation *,aas delivered by Councilman Yarbcrous, and the Pledge of
Allegiance was led by Councilman Berry.
Roll call found all f3.ve counc;_lmer present.
The minutes of December 27 were approved as read.
IvTarrants audited by the committee were approved and ordered paid on.
motion Cctuici_lman Yarborough, seconded Counci_7nan Berry, carried.
On mcti_on Counci].rnan Yarborcugh, seccnded Councilman Berry' carried,
the entire council, clerk t?~ treasurer to z.ttend the Jan. 1.9th. meeting
• of the Mayor's & Counci_lmen's Confereno,e ;,F Riverside County in
Perris, if possible.
Correspondence read was from Elzada ?~?ashington, Jesse Elkins and the
Board of Supervisors.
On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Co-uncihnan Yarborough, carried,
and adjourned meeting was set for Jamaary 16th, at 7:00 P.TI, to discuss
the Board of Supervisors corrununicati.on concerning "Trends in Locs.l
Government."
Mayor Bartlett announced that the City Att.or:ney is drawing up a leash
lava ordinance for the City.
The Perris Paradt: rf Progress to be attended by all five councilmen.
Treasurer Scott then read the lengthy Grand Jury Rc;nort, in flxll, to
the council. At the ccmnletion of the reading of their recommendations,
Tiapor Eart].ett stated that at this time, there would be no cormnent
or debate. He urged the cormci.l to stud;,> this report and that at the
next meeting he F--could have the contract t,~i.t,h the She-riff's Dept,
to discuss,
On mot: on Courc.i]_man Bersgr, seconded Councilman Yarborough, carried.,
the meeting adjourned at R:15 P.i~1, to January l6, 1961 at 7:00 P.Pif~
