HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-26-1962 City Council Minutes3Q COUNCIL MEETING NOVIIII~iBER 26, 1962 The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on November 26, 1962 and was called to order at 7:30 P.M, with Mayor Bartlett presiding. Invocation was delivered by Councilman Yarborough and the Pledge of Allegiance .was led by Councilman Berry. Roll call found all five councilmen present. Attorney Dougherty and City Administrator Guler also in attendance. The minutes of Nov. 12 were approved as read. The Planning Commission minutes of November 20 were read and discussed, with no action taken on variance request-until attorney looks into matter. On motion Councilman Stewart, aeconded Councilman Yarborough, City kdministrator Guler authorized to make. the necessary replacements of the poles at Main & Graham for decorations,. with proper size and location. City Administrator to .handle compensation of Plan. Com. employees when necessary, commission does not have authority ~ its own to hire or disburse public fends, motion by Mayor Bartlett, seconded Councilman Berry, car. Santa Fe Railway disbursement of land when track is removed to be looked into by attorney. Warrants were approved & ordered paid on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, car. The Clerks report for October was accepted on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough. Letters from the Sedco Water Asso., South Elsinore Mutual Water Co. and Attorney Dougherty were read, received and filed. Announcement of the Sabin clinic on Dec. 2 & 9th was made. On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt, .Joe Seitz~s resignation. as Civil Defense. Director was accepted with regrets, On motion Councilman Yarborough,.seconded Councilman Stewart,.City Administrator Guler appointed to fill vacancy, as Civil Defense Director. Ord. ~t:07, adopting the new building codes passed the final reading on motion Couriei]man Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart and carried unanimously. The council voiced no ob3ection to the request of the Civil Defense Office to inatall_a LPG tank at the new bounty building.
