HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-12-1962 City Council MinutesCOUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 12, 1962 The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on November 12, 1962 and was called to order at 7:30 P.M, with Mayor Bartlett presiding. Invoeatios: was delivered by Rev. ~ and the Pledge of Allegiance' was led by Councilman Berry. Roll call found Councilman Hitt absent. Attorney Dougherty and City Administrator Guler also in attendence. The minutes of October 22 and 29th were approved as read. Warrants audit®d by the committee were approved and ordered paid on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough. Correspondence read was from the Parkview Hospital, Division of Beaches and Parks and Elsinore Palley Municipal Water Co., extending a .credit. On motion Councilman Berry,. seconded Councilman Yarborough, car., all who can, to attend Citrus Belt League dinner on Nov. 1!t at the Elks Club in Riverside. On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart, City Admin. Guler authorized to have Silver Street surveyed and necessary work done to open street through. Councilman Stewart expressed the need for additional personnel at the City Yard, no action taken. Resolution #1087, adopting the new building codes, carried on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry. The first reading of Ordinance #1107, establishing the new building codes carried on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry. ~o A resolution of commendation to the various service organizations for the Western Days celebration was unanimously approved. The Planning Commission minutes of November 10 were read and discussed, frith City Admin. Guler to work out satisfactory arrangement with the Planning Commission and other interested parties for a road to the area above the dumpsite. On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough,_Pavl %uenzli~s expense claim was approved. On motion Mayor Bartlett, seconded Councilman Yarborough, X500 to be transfered from Capitol Improvement for the Christmas decoration donation. On motion Councilman Yarborough, aeconded Councilman Stewart, the Alumna Association request for an houris extension on dancing on Nov. 17th. approved. John Merrifield thanked the council for their interest in the decorations, inquired about an ambulance franchise for the City of $lsinor®, which the Attorney will look into, and requested that the flag pole. holes be revamped.
