The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session
on October 22, 1962, and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with
Mayor Bartlett presiding.
Invocation was delivered by Rev. Horton and the Pledge of Allegiance
was led by Councilman Berry.
Roll call found all five councilmen present, Attorney Dougherty and
City Administrator Guler also in attendance.
The minutes of October Sth & 11th were approved as read. The Plan.
Commission minutes of Oct. 16th were read and discussed, with the
Chaney St, crossing correspondence to be turned over to the City
Administrator by Attorney. On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded
Councilman Stewart, the parking problem by the post office to be
studied by the police. department itefore action taken.
Warrants audited by the.. committee were approved and ordered paid on
motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, car.
The clerk's & treasurer's September reports were approved on motion
Councilman Berry,_seconded Councilman Yarborough, car.
Everett Philips report was received for further study. Other
communications read xere the Mayor's"Farm-City Proclamation and a
reply from the Riverside County Flood_Control,
On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, the
sewer farm lease to Sam Stewart, to be $800 per year for rental., Car.
The power company street lighting proposal, carried over for further
Study.
X12,000 was the amount set for Mr. Joosten's surety bond, sub3ect to
acceptance by the Council,. on motion Councilman Berry, seconded
Councilman Yarborough, car.

On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarbrough, Mr. Whitb's
request for an auction license at 109 S. Main was approved, sub~ect_to
a favorable report from the building inspector, car.
Mr. Currie to meet with City Attorney and City Administrator, to discuss
sewer line improvements bofSY'e agreement entered into.
Mr. Gregory's request for an easement by city dump, held until Plan.
Commission submits recommendation. '
The YFW request for a donation was discussed, with motion by
Councilman Stewart, seconded Councilman Yarborough, to donate X150.
for advertising., car.
Mrs. Richard Miller requested that something be done to help the
water situation on Acacia St., and that a stop sign be placed at the
~ cornbr of Acacia & Country Club, and that bushes be trimmed at Center
and Railroad..
Mrs. Tuch complained that high pressure had caused her water heater to
break.
