COUAtCIL AGENDA SEPTEMBER 10, 1962 The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on September 10, 1962, and was called to order at 7:30 P,M, with Y~fayor Bartlett presiding. Invocation was delivered. by Rev. Easter and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Berry. Roll call found all five councilmen present. Attorney Dougherty and Everett Philips also in attendance. The minutes of August 29 were approved as read. The Planning Commission minutes of Sept. llth were read and discussed. Minutes received for further study on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry. Council to meet with Planning Commission on Sept. 1l~th at 7:30 to discuss water plans. On motion Councilman .Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, the warrants were approved and ordered paid. The August clerk's report was approved on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry. On motion Councilman Yarborough seconded Councilman Stewart, the approval of the annual audit he~d for further study. No action taken on G. R, Gough insurance quotation for additional coverage. Agents to be contacted to provide complete coverage. On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough, all who can to attend County Road Dept, meeting, Oct, 4th. in Banning. Mr. Jay V. Guler~ appointed City administrator at a salary of x$800 per month, effective September 15th on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry and approved on an unanimous roll call vote. On motion Mayor Bartlett, seconded Councilman Berry, seven megaphones, at a cost of approx. ~1t9 to be purchased for the cheerleaders from Recreation blued. Everett. Philips reported that he is negoitiating with the Crowley Co, on the replacement of the media in the plant before option is exercised, which would be a saving of approx. X3000 to the City. The August Police Dept. was read and placed on file. Jeanette Martin's request to work vacation time was approved on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt, car. Hubert Hudson's request to receive vacation compensation pay was granted on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough. The Clerk's request for a two weeks leave of absence, without compere- !, cation, effective Sept. 20, was granted on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Hitt. Notices of the increased costs of prisoner's meals, from Rene's Cafe and Recreation Cafe were read. An open discussion on thesater plan was held, with Everett Philips & Attorney Dougherty stating that tentatively a January Election would be best.
