COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 11, 1962
The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on
June 11, 1962 and was called to order at 7:30 P.M, with Councilman
Yarborough presiding.
Imrocation was delivered by Rev. King, and the Pledge of Allegiance
was led by Councilman Berry.
Roll call found Mayor Bartlett absent.
On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Hitt, Councilman
Yarborough elected Mayor Pro Tem. car.
The minutes of ,May 28 and June ltth were approved as read, and the
Planning Commission minutes of May 29th and June 5th weze read and
discussed.
On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Co;meilman Stewart, the warrants
were approved and ordered paid.
On motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Hitt, the clerks &
treasurers reports for May were accepted.
Correspondence read was from Dr. Lukovich and the Planning Commission,
both were discussed with no action taken.
The application of the Alamo Market for an off-sale beer & wine 3icense
went,un-opposed on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart.
The sewer farm lease was discussed with attorney to be requested to
negoti~dse on renewal of premises.
The Police Dept, report for May was;:read, with Councilman Berry and
Councilman Stewart being requested to meet with Chief to discuss
policies.
Oscar Dalton's request to work his vacation time was granted on motion
Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart.
Mrs. Rueben's request to have street repaired on El.].is, to be looked
into by Councilman Hitt.
Mrs. Balzer's complaint on nuisance condition on Lindsey St, to be
referred to_Building Dept.
I~Tednesday Night was the day set for a budget discussion. June 13th at
7:3o P.M.
Several complaints were heard on the weed conditions in town. Were
told that fire department is working hard on this condition.
No further business appearing, the meeting adjourned at 8:l~5 P.M, on
motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart,
