HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-14-1962 City Council Minutes27`x' COIINCIL MEETING MAY 11t, 1962 The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on May 1lt, 1962 and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Bartlett presiding. Invocation was delivered by Councilman Yarborough, and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Berry. Roll call found Counci]man Hitt absent. Attorney Dougherty present. The minutes of April 23rd and April 30th were approved as read. The Planning Commission minutes of May ist were accepted except £or Para- - graphs four and five, which were carried over. The proposed annexation map was turned over to Commissioner Lucas for acceptance by the Plan. Comtniesion. Warrants were approved and ordered paid on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough. The Citmts Belt League of Calif. Cities meeting to be attended by six, on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart. Street lights were approved on Morton at the cornor of Green St. and at the cornor of Sumner & Davis on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, car. The Mayor's Proclamation for National Highway Week, May 20-26 was read. On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Counci]man Stewart, the flags to be flown on Armed Forces Day, May 19th. Paul Ruenzli's resignation as Library & Park caretaker was accepted with regrets. Ordinance #1103, establishing the office of City Administrator passed the first reading on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart. The April Police Report was read and accepted. A.A. Anderson's request to work vacation time was~pproved on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough car. Mr. ~firi.ck inquired as to what progress was being made on Recreation Agreement. Certified statement of motion to be obtained from School Board. Rand03tph Daniel expressed his gratitude for the approval of the Morton St. light. On motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, Mr. Crane to prepare a legal of the flood area.
