COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 28, 1964
The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on
December 28, 1964 and was called to order at 7:30 P.M, with Mayor
Bartlett presiding.
Invocation was delivered by Father Jalbert and the Pledge of
Allegiance was led by Councilman Berry.
Roll call found all five councilmen present. City Manager Guler and
Attorney Dougherty also in attendance.
The minutes of December 14, 1964 were approved as read.
~`, Wilsey, Ham S Blair proposal to perform furnctions of planning director
in addition to planning study, read for information of council. Motion
Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman DePasquale, car., that Don
s~ Cutoff be requested to attend meeting of 1/11/65 and explain their proposal
=='Xr for interim planning services.
Warrants were approved on motion Councilman Yarborough, secanded
Councilman DePasquale, ear.
S. Zatman's letter on park bldg. read for information of council. Mr.
Wilke being present, presented the proposed plans to the council and
answered their inquiries. Motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded
Councilman DePasquale, car., preliminary plans for park bldg. accepted,
with the provision that bldg. can be enlarged later if desirable.
Motion Councilman Berry,. seconded Councilman DePasquale, car. that
Wm. B. Wilke be hired for the sum of $1,400 to prepare plans and speci_
fications for building.
Motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman DePasquale, car., that the
City Attorney be instructed to record Silver St. deeds without a title
policy.
Discussion held on the purchasing of a track loader with action held to
later meeting in order to obtain other quotes on similar equipment.
Discussion on the Transient Occupancy Tax ordinance with the council
concurring that everyone should register or offer sufficient proof of why
it does not apply to them.
Motion Councilman Stewart, seconded Councilman Yarborough, car., that
the poker licenses for Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Milts be renewed for the first
quarter of 1965, with Councilmen DePasquale and Stewart to study poker
license ordinance and recommend changes to council.
Mrs. Somergrad, Mr. Rack and Gussie Kaminsky inquired about the status
of the mineral water.
No further business appearing, the meeting adjourned at 9:40 P.M. on
motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, car.
