Invocation was delivered by Rev. Coulter and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Yarborough. Roll call found Mayor Bartlett absent, The minutes of August 10, 1864 were approved as read, 1^!arrants a/ere approved & ordered paid on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Ste,/art, car, A, proclamation proclaiming Sept. 14-1g, 1954 as P!ational Literacy 4!eek ~~!as read and approved, Mayor Prc-tom De°asquale had letters from the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Co., "-1.H.F,A., and Governor Brown read. Bldg, Inspector Spider's progress report on cendemnaticn proceedings alas read E filed. A resolution on tl,e high school site was ;resented to the council by 1'layor Pro-tom DePasquale. Discussion held on resolution. by council and public, no action taken. :lotion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, car., that the Silver St. quitclaim deed be accepted ar.d that the Mayor & City Clerk be authorized to execute same. Mayor Pro-tom DePasquale suggested the need for appropriate signs denetir.g Lake Elsinore and ~~~as informed that the Chamber of Commerce is working on such a project.
