HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-21-1964 Adjourned City Council Minutes~w ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 21, 1964 The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in an adjourned session on April 21, 1964 and was called to order at 7:30 P.M, with Mayor Bartlett presiding. Invocation was delivered by Father Ross and the Pledge of Allegiance was led. by Councilman Berry. _ Roll call found Councilman Hitt absent. City Manager Guler & City Attorney Dougherty also in attendance. The. clerk then swore Councilmen: Berry, Yarborough & DePasquate & City Treasurer Scott into their respective offices. The chair was then turned over to the clerk to preside for the - selection of the Mayor. Nominations were opened: Councilman Berry nominated Councilman Yarborough, Councilman Yarborough nominated Councilman Berry, Councilman Stewart nominated Councilman Bartlett, Councilman DePasquate nominated Councilman DePasquate. Nominations were then closed on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, car. The first roll call vote tallied: Councilman Stewart for Councilman Bartlett Councilman DePasquate for Councilman DePasquate Councilman Yarborough for Councilman Berry Councilman Berry for Councilman Yarborough Councilman Bartlett for Councilman Bartlett Second roll call vote: Councilman Stewart for Councilman Bartlett Councilman DePasquate for Councilman DePasquate Councilman Yarborough for Councilman Berry Councilman Berry for Councilman Yarborough Councilman Bartlett for Councilman Bartlett councilman Berry then withdrew from nomination for Mayor. Third roll call vote: Councilman Stewart for Councilman Bartlett Councilman DePasquate for Councilman DePasquate Councilman Yarborough for Councilman Yarborough Councilman Berry for Councilman Yarborough Councilman Bartlett for Councilman Hartlett~ 394. Fourth roll call vote: ' Councilman Stewart for Councilman Bartlett Councilman DePasquale for Councilman DePasquale Councilman Yarborough for Councilman Yarborough Councilman Berry for Councilman Yarborough Councilman Bartlett for Councilman Bartlett Attorney Dougherty advised that since the select~con of Mayor was dead- locked, further action should be held to next meeting. Motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Stewart, car, that the selection of Mayor & Mayor Pro-tem be held to next regular meeting on April 27. Mayor Bartlett to preside until such time as council reaches a decision. Motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, car., the meeting adjourned at 8:20 P.M, to a special cald~ed meeting Respectfully submitted: l~%'"`"~ Approved: ~~ .~~y~~~~~ ~ ~ ~~- City Clerk- Mayor ' SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 21', 1964 The City Council of the City of Elsinore met ih special session on April 21, 1864 at 8:20 P,M, to accept and act upon the domestic water plans and minimum wage rates, for the proposed water projects. Notice of special meeting on file. Mr. Currier'.from the Currie Engineering Co. presented the plans for the domestic water system which were accepted on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry in Resolution #1134, car. Resolution #1135, establishing the minimum wages for both of the proposed water projects carried on motion Councilman Stewart, seconded Councilman Berry.
