HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-13-1964 City Council Minutes391 COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 13, 1964 The City Council of the City of Elsinore met in regular session on April 13, 1964 and was called to order at 7:30 P.M, with Mayor Bartlett presiding. Invocation was delivered by Rev. Thompson and the Pledge of Allegiance vaas led by Councilman Berry. Roll call found all five councilmen present. City Manager Guler & City Attorney Dougherty also in attendance. The minutes of March 23, March 30, April 3 and April 6, 1964 were approved as read. Warrants were approved & ordered paid on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Stewart, car. The Jewish War. Veteran's invitation and notice of Mayor's and Council- men's meeting in Indio, April 16 read for information, all who can to attend. Paul Rusnal<'s request for continuence of Dutton St. referred to P.Com. Ordinance #417, re. rezoning of Pepper Grove Tract carried over for clarification of details beofre second reading approved. Ordinance #418, rezoning Graham Avenue, carried on the second reading on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councilman Yarborough. Motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, car. purchase of street name signs from Ident-O-Sign approved, subject to acceptance of the State Highway Department and negotiated details by the City Manager. The request of Mr. & Mrs. Snyder for a ;family billiard license at 140 N. Main St. was rejected, due to location on motion Councilman Berry, seconded Councia:man Hitt, car. H.H.F.A. letter of 4/9/64 read & discussed as was Attorney Macl<ey's letter of 3/31164. Items 1 & 2 referred to Bond Attorrney via City Attorney, item #3 reffered to Currie Eng., item #4 re water rates referred to cmmmittee of Mayor Bartlett, Councilman Stewart & Plan. Com. representative to report, Item #5, referred to City Attorney for prepara- tion of proper forms for signing for mineral water. Ordinance #419, re. rezoning of Baisley property for proposed conv. hospital, carried on the first reading on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, subject to the deeding of 25' for widening of road and subject to City Attorney's & City Manager's approval. Motion Councilman Stewart, seconded Councilman Hitt, that Mayor Bartlett be the delegate to the Mayor's Conference in New York City, May 24-27, carried on the following roll call vote: Ayes: Stewart, Hitt, Bartlett Noes: Yarborough, Berry. Motion Councilman Stewart, seconded Councilman Berry, car., council to receive bids for water line construction on May 18, 1964 at 7:30 P.M. The meeting adjourned at 8:40 P.M. on motion Councilman Yarborough, seconded Councilman Berry, car., to Tuesday, April 21, 1964 at 7:30 P.M. for the canvass of election returns~~ .
