The City of Lake Elsinore appreciates your attendance. Citizens' interest provides the
Council and Agency with valuable information regarding issues of the community.
Meetings are held on the 2 nd and 4 Tuesday of every month. In addition, meetings are
televised live on Time Warner Cable Station Channel 29 and Verizon subscribers can view
the meetings on Channel 31.
The agenda is posted 72 hours prior to each meeting outside of City Hall and is available at
each meeting. The agenda and related reports are also available at the City Clerk's Office
on the Friday prior to the Council meeting and are available on the City's website at
www.lake- elsinore.orcl Any writings distributed within 72 hours of the meeting will be
made available to the public at the time it is distributed to the City Council.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person with a disability who
requires a modification or accommodation in order to participate in a meeting should
contact the City Clerk's Office at (951) 674 -3124 Ext. 262, at least 48 hours before the
meeting to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility.

GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 6, 2012 AND
DECLARING RESULTS
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council approve and adopt Resolution No. 2012 -054
Reciting the Facts of the General Municipal Election held on November 6, 2012, Declaring
the Result and Such Other Matters as may be Provided by Law.
BACKGROUND
On June 12, 2012, the City Council adopted three Resolutions pertaining to the General
Municipal Election of November 6, 2012. Pursuant thereto and in compliance with the
Election Code of the State of California, the election was held on November 6, 2012. On
November 26, 2012, the Riverside County Registrar of Voters completed the canvass and
certified the election results. The Certification is attached as Exhibit A to the Resolution
Reciting the Fact of the General Municipal Election held on November 6, 2012, indicating the
total number of ballots cast, the number of Vote -by -Mail and provisional ballots cast, and the
votes cast for each person running for the respective office.
As confirmed by the Certificate of Canvass, the following persons were elected to office:
Robert Magee, Member of the City Council for a full term of four years
Natasha Johnson, Member of the City Council for a full term of four years
Steve Manos, Member of the City Council for a full term of four years
Allen Peters Baldwin, City Treasurer for a full term of four years

RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -054
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 6, 2012, AND
DECLARING THE RESULTS AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS MAY BE
PROVIDED BY LAW
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of
Lake Elsinore, California, on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, Notice of the Election was given in time, form and manner, voting
precincts were properly established, election officers were appointed and in all respects
the election was held and conducted as required by the provisions of the Elections Code
of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the votes were cast, received and canvassed by the Riverside County
Registrar of Voters and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner for the
holding of elections in general law cities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 2012 -022 adopted on June 12, 2012, the
Riverside County Registrar of Voters canvassed the returns of the election and has
certified the results which is attached as Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The whole number of votes cast in the precincts for the contest of
Member of the City Council, excluding Vote -by -Mail ballots and provisional ballots, was
6,597.
The whole number of Vote -by -Mail ballots and provisional ballots cast for the
contest of Member of the City Council was 6,644, making a grand total of 13,241 ballots
cast in the City.
Section 2. The names of persons voted for at the election for Member of the City
Council and the number of votes received by each person are as follows:

Section 3. The whole number of votes cast in the precincts for the contest of City
Treasurer, excluding Vote -by -Mail ballots and provisional ballots, was 3,989.
The whole number of Vote -by -Mail ballots and provisional ballots cast for the
contest of City Treasurer was 4,526, making a grand total of 8,515 ballots cast in the City.
Section 4. The name of the person voted for at the election for City Treasurer
and the number of votes received is as follows:

Section 5. The City Council does declare and determine that:
Robert Magee, Natasha Johnson and Steve Manos were elected as Members of
the City Council for the full term of four years each beginning in December of 2012.
Allen Peters Baldwin was elected as City Treasurer for the full term of four years
beginning in December of 2012.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of the
City of Lake Elsinore, a statement of the result of the election showing: (1) the whole
number of votes cast in the City; (2) the names of the persons voted for; (3) for what office
each person was voted for.
Section 7. The City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of the
persons so elected a Certificate of Election signed by the City Clerk and authenticated and
that the City Clerk shall cause to be administered to each person elected the Oath of
Office prescribed in the Constitution of the State of California and shall have them
subscribe to it and file it in the Office of the City Clerk. Each and all of the persons so
elected shall then be inducted into the respective office to which they have been elected.
Section 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
