Staff also intends to close the parking lot across from City Hall to accommodate a Santa's visiting area. A detour route will be provided around the event. Fiscal Impact The net cost of sponsoring this community event is approximately $15,000. Each year the City receives donations from a number of organizations to partially offset the expense. This year's donations are estimated at $1,000. The City also receives vendor fees, which are estimated in the amount of $1,400. Funding for this event was budgeted in the Lake, Parks and Recreation Department's budget for the current fiscal year.
