SUBJECT: Reconsideration of Sewer System for
the Avenues and the Gunnerson/
Riverside area.
BACKGROUND
Councilman Alongi has requested, due to the recent decision to
assist residents of the Amber Ridge Tract, that staff be directed
to study the implementation of a sewer program for the Avenues
financed by the Redevelopment Agency. This item was continued
indefinitely for further investigation on February 9, 1993.
Councilman Alongi has requested that this item be reconsidered at
the February 23rd Council Meeting. Attached is a copy of a
Supplemental Memorandum provided to you in October, 1992, by Robert
Bein, William Frost & Associates, pertaining to "Existence of
Septic System Development Surrounding Lake Elsinore ", noting the
existence of septic systems in the Gunnerson /Riverside Area and the
Rodeo Ground Area.

Discuss and provide direction to staff.

SUBJECT: Existence of Septic System Development
Surrounding Lake Elsinore
JThIle Amber Ridge contr� scope of services included an element that the surrounding areas
-Lake Elsinore having septic systems to be identified. A supplemental memorandum and
our exhibit was prepared prior to the October 13, 1992 RDA hearing. We are transmitting
the supplement memorandum and exhibit for internal distribution.
The attached information was compiled from information provided to RBF by Elsinore
Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD). For the Boards convenience, we have made
reduced drawings of the Proposed Sewer System Improvements and Septic Systems for
Wastewater Disposal surrounding Lake Elsinore.

developments within the Lake Elsinore area which are currently utilizing septic systems for

The following is a listing of locations of those developments, as well as app
units within each:
1. Country Club Heights - southeast corner of Riverside Drive and Lakeshore
Drive a 120 existing units.
2. Gunnerson Drive - north of Riverside Drive at Gunnerson = 79 existing units.
3. Gum Tree - northwest corner of Highway 74 and I -15 = 210 existing units.
• 4. Grand Avenue - northwest corner of Riverside Drive and Grand Avenue

been were given a window for connection to the system utilizing these funds. This
window for connection expires November 1, 1992. However, extensions are
being granted by Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District on a case by case
basis.

7. Meadowbrook northeast of Gum Grove = 100 units.
