BACKGROUND
This fire damaged single family residence was completely demolished
on February 15, 1993, due to substandard conditions.
Owners of the property and all others having an interest in it were
notified of each step of the Structure Abatement process.
DISCUSSION
The property was declared a Public Nuisance at a Hearing on January
15th, 1993, and Staff directed to proceed with the abatement. Bids
were presented to City Council on January 26th, 1993, and the
demolition was completed on February 1st, 1993.

The costs associated with the abatement of this property are
detailed below:

All costs associated with the abatement of this property will be
placed as a special lien against the property.
RECOMMENDATION
It is Staff's recommendation that the Council approve the Cost
Recovery of Expenditures in the abatement of this hazard.
